PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE by your next volvo for the local cowboy car sales pitch. Stoneacre Volvo Grimsby are frankly DISGRACEFUL! They will tell you a cars been valeted, fully serviced and when you question the quality with evidence when looking at a car on the pitch your told by the sales manager "this cars not for you". When you say "well come outside and I'll show you" your told (by the sales manager) I'm not going outside to have an argument with you". REALLY? YES REALLY! My family and I drove 2 hours to view the car that we wanted. I walked! Then a call comes in the next day from the business manager saying oh I'm so sorry blar blar, but you can buy the car from a different branch. So we agreed to buy the car through Chesterfield but have the near £2000 of extras I wanted on a USED CAR done at Grimsby. I should have gone with my gut. Then it started, ignored phone calls, call after call, ignored emails, being told by the sales man " oh sorry I'm so busy". Then having to chase, chase and CHASE AGAIN to get progress information and a collection date. Then the day before the given collection date, I had to, you guessed it, chase AGAIN. Then to be told by the salesman " oh sorry your on my list to contact today" Then salesman was LATE in arriving at the Chesterfield branch, with not a shred of decency in sight. He was "told your Late, why didn't I get a phone call? "Er I didn't have your number" I asked cant you call your office and get the number or ask them to call me? Some one just looked at the floor. Shocking! Ok, So I've had a pop at the salesman, he's not very happy. So at the point of taxing the car he started to say sorry I was late. I said I'm not interested, you've waisted enough of my families time let's get it done and I will go. So the car was taxed he stood up shook my hand and said thank you. NO HANDOVER OF THE CAR AT ALL. Not even would you like me to connect your phone. Nothing.We will see what Volvo UK has to say about this. Within 5 minutes of leaving the site I was on the phone as the stop start service waring was alight on the car. I'm in it for 5 mins and its come on, apparently the sales man left at 12.00 (total lie) arrived at me 2.50pm and the light didn't come on during his 2hr 50 minute drive. Humm. I got home to find a large ding with missing paint work on the car that wasn't there when we viewed and test drove the car 2 weeks earlier. Eventually they did agree to do a poor repair of the damage, that I now have to have resolved by a proffessional. Its just one thing after another, but they are very consistent in there unprofessional conduct. The sales man told me that the ADBlue hadn't been topped up so he put 5 litres in before he left. I was told on the friday before that this had been done (I was promised the workshop had done this), so who is lying? I was promised the car would be machine polished by their "ex BMW detailer" so I foolishly expected a good job from a "detailer". Stoneacre were told categorically told there were to be NO holograms in the paint work at all. My god they have completely ruined the cars paint work frankly. When I showed the business manager he agreed it was "very poor and I recall you clearly stating no holograms in the paint, if we did it again it wouldn't be any better because the same guy will be doing it. Jesus! Can't service a car properly cant valet a car properly, cant polish a car properly, cant communicate properly, ignore company policy. Its Stonacres policy to give the area managers details if asked for, 4 days I've been waiting for this information whilst being ignored. So its time to act now. I have to work hard for my money, is it any wonder main dealers have such a bad reputation. On the plus side there are plenty of donkeys on the nearby beach, its cheaper to pay for a ride on them rather than be taken for a ride by these cowboys.

A great Premier Inn. Had an unexpected stay after some train trouble. Room was very clean and it felt safe for a lone female. Staff were warm, welcoming and really helpful. From the lovely lady on reception who helped me get some last minute toiletries to the staff at the Thyme restaurant. Had a lovely steak in the evening. Breakfast the next day was fantastic. A big shout out to Leon and Natalie who made my morning and a delicious breakfast. A real safe haven for trips planned and unexpected.

Please dont waste your money, go to a travel lodge and get breakfast else where wish we had, staff miserable, breakfast was shocking on sunday, serve yourself from food counter not hardly any food., restuarant was dirty.

Fantastic experience all round. All staff; whether it be on reception, the cleaning & restaurant staff, are friendly, polite and helpful dealing with all your needs. Food was great – especially the breakfast. I wanted to offer a particular thank you to Leon and Daryl for looking after me during my stay.
