"Clean room"
Staff at check in were friendly and efficient. Clean tidy room, I was previously aware that there was no air con. However I was given a room to the rear of the hotel, in the shade. There was a fan in the room but it wasn't needed. Alhough there was a main road near by, once the window was closed there was no noise. Very comfy bed

"Staff are credit to premier in keep up the good work"
I regularly stay at these hotels for work, including Leicester Forest East, and I want to start by saying the staff are consistently excellent. They go above and beyond to make every stay comfortable, and they are a big reason I continue to return.
However, I feel it’s important to raise a concern regarding management. From both conversations with staff and my own observations during multiple stays, there appears to be a noticeable difference in atmosphere depending on whether a particular male manager is present who i regularly see sitting around who where's a shirt and glasses. When he is around, staff seem visibly on edge, whereas in his absence they appear far more relaxed and able to perform at their best.
On a recent visit, I personally witnessed an interaction at breakfast where a young staff member was spoken to in a manner that came across as unnecessarily harsh and unprofessional and came across as bullying tactics and should be ashamed of themselves. This, combined with other observations, gives the impression of a management style that may be negatively affecting staff morale.
It would be a real shame to see such dedicated and hardworking staff leave, as they are clearly a major strength of these hotels. I would strongly encourage senior management to look into this, as maintaining a positive working environment is key to retaining the excellent team you currently have.
This feedback is shared constructively, as a regular guest who values the service provided and wants to see these hotels continue to succeed.

"Fine for the price."
For the money it was not bad: decent bed and thus a decent night's sleep (though driving 350 miles might have contributed). Decent sized room; kettle and things, fan and a TV. Bathroom fine but don;t expect the usual fripperies: here it's towels and shower gel and soap and toilet paper. Limited hanging space and no shelves whatsoever. Breakfast was fine: not the best we've had but perfectly adequate with good choice (the croissants were very good indeed). Staff and service good: friendly and attentive. We ate at the restaurant in the evening: steak and chips were OK (especially so given the price) and desserts similarly OK. Downsides? Well there were places which needed more attention in the cleaning area. The bathroom door opens inwards and the area where the door opens isn't mopped. Also the holder for the sink handwash was rusting. Finally when we last stayed at a PI (in Leicester, not this one) some 3 years ago they had no orange juice at breakfast, claiming supply issues. Well three years on they haven't resolved them. Overall fine for a night or two.
