"On par with the second best premier inn"
I have stayed in a plethora of Premier Inn over my two years of working for my company. Arriving here, I was greeted by friendly staff from the outset. From bookending to having my evening meal. Having the opportunity now, I'd like to say a huge thank you to Pamela for looking after me during my evening meal, ensuring I was comfortable and my meal came out in good time. Her true dedication and commitment, if I had any say, she needs a pay rise! A manager in the future, for sure... Thank you Premier Inn for another hotel I'll be looking to book in the near future... AL

I stay in premier inns all over the country, but the team at East Midlands go out of the way every time. Everyone from the management team to the housekeeping team, chef etc make you feel like family. Staying away on business isn't easy at times, but when you are greeted with a friendly face, clean rooms and excellent service. it makes it so much easier. Thank you to Daniella and her team and Ang and the team for your smiles and always making myself and my colleagues feel so welcome.
"Wonderful stay , before our holiday ."
What a fantastic hotel , have stayed in many premier inns but this hotel was by far the best so far. On arrival we were met by Martin and Lucas , fantastic customer service. Cheerful and polite and so attentive. Our room for the evening , was clean and very comfortable. Booked an evening meal , food was lovely and the restaurant staff were fantastic. Again attentive and efficient, couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be back .
"Nice stay(s)"
This review will be a complete review of two stays from the beginning and middle of July. We stayed before our outbound flight to go on holiday and after our inbound flight home. We are regular Premier Inn guests. This was our first time staying in a newer style “Next Evolution” PI and we was impressed by the newer decor, cleanliness and design. I emailed the hotel prior to our stay and requested rooms close to our friends and at the end of a corridor and this is exactly what we got on both stays. We was allocated, a huge standard room on our first stay which we gasped at when we opened the door! We was so chuffed! However, this was short lived as the air con failed and couldn’t cool the room sufficiently as the room was so big, and because you couldn’t turn the temperature down below 19°c. We did contact reception who said they would override it to make it cooler but nothing changed, and eventually they moved us across the corridor to another room. This was smaller and a more standard layout of a PI room that we expected. The air con gladly worked properly in this room. We got the exact same room after our holiday too. The new design is nice, however there seems to be a lack of any desk area or places to put things. They have replaced the desk area with a multipurpose table but it isn’t sufficient to put a load of items on. Plus if you wanted to work on a laptop, you could but there is no nearby plug to charge it, as there would be with a desk. The new showers are horrible, I miss having a bath! The new shower heads are such a downgrade from what they previously had, they provide a mist rather than a powerful rain shower. The rest of the bathroom is nice though despite this. I know this is none of the hotel managements fault and they just have to work with what they’re told/given. The food in the restaurant is nice! I had stayed in a PI for two weeks straight prior to this stay, so was familiar with the menu, as they had the same restaurant “Thyme” brand in the hotel I stayed in for work as they did in this one. The service was good too, the staff are very attentive, warm and chatty. Breakfast is cooked to order and not a buffet style offering. Pastries, toast, cereal etc are all self service, just hot food you have to order. Overall both stays were good and I would happily return!
