"Great staff/ whole building in desperate need of air conditioning"
We stayed for 3 nights and none of us hardly slept due to the ridiculous heat in the room, we were provided with a fan that just blew hot air around the room and didn't cool at all, I had been to the hairdressers prior to arriving, but was a complete waste of time and money as by morning my hair was dripping wet from the excessive heat. We left the windows open but because there were only the big thick curtains and no net curtains up at the window we had close them. As we were on the ground floor and everyone walking past could see in the room with the curtains open. Due to no air conditioning we unfortunately will not be returning to this hotel, which is a shame as its very near to an event we go to every year and usually stay for 3-4 nights, so we will have to look for an alternative accommodation for our next visit.
During our very hot 3 day stay, there was no cold drinks available in the vending machine either, which made our stay and experience even more uncomfortable for me my husband and 2 children. We asked the man on reception who told us that there was no way of him filling it up, as it belongs to an outside company. With the bar closed at this point, my Husband had to walk 10 mins down the road just to get us all some drinks. Which we found very annoying as we had no where to keep drinks cold.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly, I really felt for all the staff having to work so hard in that building as it is like an oven, and in desperate need of air conditioning.

"Warm Welcome, Spotless Room & Fantastic Service!"
Saturday 28th June
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a fab, cheery welcome that really set the tone for our stay. The room was spotless – clean, comfortable, and just what we needed.
We dined in the on-site restaurant and were blown away by the food – fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to Kanye and Jane, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Their service was brilliant – friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm.
All in all, a great stay. We’ll definitely be back.!

"Staff shortages at Preston East means it’s a no no for us."
Very short staffed, one person doing check in for rooms, check in for restaurant and serving tables. Food incredibly slow, over an hour for starters then 30 minutes more for mains. Breakfast was just as bad. When asked why a poached egg was taking more than 40 minutes, we were told some else had ordered before us. Do only one order at at time? One large, one small towel for two people. Road noise bad and room was extremely hot so needed window open. This is the second occasion in a year for us so will give it a miss next time even though staff were exceptionally kind and friendly.

"What happened to the Premier Inn standards??"
First of all, I may not be aware of there are different types of premier inns, it’s either that, or the standards of premier inns have dropped. This particular hotel is what I like to call a “help yourself hotel”
Again, things may have changed since I last stayed in a premier inns but when I checked in to my room, I was expecting a phone where I could ring reception, so I had to keep going back down when I needed something. The reception isn’t manned the team work between the restaurant and reception so there’s not normally anyone on reception when you need them. To be fair to the team that work there they are lovely.. and very helpful when you need them.
I was unfortunate on my first visit that I could hear every step the person in the room above me made, and even more unfortunate that they had checked in at about 11:30pm when I was trying to settle, and they decided to unpack which meant a lot of back and forth until about 1am then it started again at 6am when they were getting ready.. as I say I was just unfortunate.
I asked if it was possible to get an iron and ironing board in my room..to which, I had to “help myself” to from the cupboard!!! Then to carry the board and iron back to my room.
The sheets also smell like they’ve been in the back of a cupboard for a month.
I was very much looking forward to getting home.
The second time I came up to Preston, I was in two minds whether to stay again, it was a shorter visit, so for convenience I did. I was armed with my own steamer and ear plugs.
However, sheet are still smelly, I had one plus socket in my room that worked, my fan was broken and it was 26 degrees in my room.
The staff very kindly gave me another fan, so I had to charge my phone via my lap top so that I could have my fan going
Being as I will be coming up to Preston monthly, thinks definitely the last time I’ll stay here.
But I must just emphasise the staff are lovely

"One night stay, disappointed"
Hotel needs upgrading. Room above, sqeaky floorboards, with occupants above on the move from before 6am
Restaurant had many dirty plates and glasses on bar and offered wet menus from bar.
Not up to normal experience from a Premier Inn
