"It's called Preston Central and that's exactly what it is."
The hotel is called Preston Central and that's exactly what it is, just a couple of minutes walk from the train station and right in the centre of everything, with lots of shops, bars and restaurants around except down a side street away from the noise of the town centre and within walking distance of maybe 30 minutes to Deepdale stadium, which was the purpose of my visit. I was emailed by the hotel before my arrival warning me of possible noise due the the ongoing refurbishment but apart from one lift out of use I had no issues. I am glad I had paid the little bit more for a premier plus room as the difference on these rooms is amazing, very nicely decorated, the usual comfortable bed, kettle, coffee maker and a new modern bathroom. I had breakfast in the restaurant, which was very good and very peaceful as there didn't seem to be many guest's. The bar and restaurant area are looking a little bit tired but this is probably part of the ongoing refurbishment. The couple of staff I came in to contact with were friendly and helpful so overall a great stay.
"Nice premier inn with great staff"
One of the better premier inns i have stayed in, the room was nice clean and bed always comfty, in this one no real early morning door slammers and the staff here are great, had superb service from the 2 bar/check in attendants on both nights, a young man with purple hair and a female who commutes from manchester, both a credit to your team. I can observe that they tend the bar and check in at the same time, as did the lady in the morning for breakfast, your team here clearly work hard and are still smiling whilst doing so.
      "Poor for a Premier Inn"
From arriving we struggled to summon any staff. No one was manning the bar for a drink prior to check in. We were 20 mins early and eventually we were told it would be 15 pounds to check in early. Thankfully the place is being refurbished as the corridors and general decor is grubby. However the bed and shower were fine for a 1 night stay. Despite staying in many Premier Inns we wouldn't stay here again ; it was by far the worst.
      "Great rooms"
Great friendly staff and great spacious rooms that are air-conditioned. All very clean with tea and coffee available.
