Burnley hotel

Hotel is pleasantly situated between two parks so the ambience is more rural than urban. The staff are very friendly. I find that Premier Inns offer good breakfasts.

Hotel and restuarant staff all excellent and welcoming, especially the manager at the restuarant.

Went to breakfast. One waitress, one person in the kitchen, cook to order. The waitress was walking around telling guests when they asked how much longer as they had to be at work that she didn’t care as she was applying for catering assistant jobs elsewhere. We left without food. Went to reception where the operatorions manager was sitting chatting with a receptionist despite there being no guest in the area. When we came back to reception after packing and calling guest services. The waitress had joined the ops manager and receptionist, so cannot imagine what was going on in the restaurant. As we were leaving the receptionist shouted after me “That was unnecessary” clearing trying to provoke a reaction for my call to guest services.

Nice, small premium inn. But the room was very dusty, and round the car park perimeter was absolutely disgusting with litter.

Last minute booking for one night. The pictures looked good with walk in showers, basic but ok for the price. I’ve stayed in other Premier hotels that have been good but this was Absolutely shocking.. threadbare carpets! We stayed in room 14 on the ground floor. The whole place and room stunk of cigarettes. Basic is beyond words and nothing like the pictures. Cobwebs all over the ceiling, not just a few that you might expect in the corners and whatever you do don’t look at the skirting boards or behind the bed. Mouldy windows with cigarette burns in and the bathroom was shocking. It was just disgusting .. filthy bath and curtain and black bits coming from the shower head .. we didn’t use after running it. The towels were crispy, just unbelievable. I actually slept with my clothes on and put my shoes on to walk on the carpet, which had stains and crisps on and god knows what else. We will never stay in a Premier Inn again as from what the pictures show to what you could get .. no just no! The sign isn’t even lit up like others and it’s not the easiest place to find when it’s getting dark. Very rundown, very disappointing.
