Whitstable hotel

Our room was clean and comfortable as in any Premier Inn. There was a very good electric fan in the room, which was great in the heatwave. All the staff were polite, efficient and friendly. One young woman was particularly helpful to us, her attitude over all was very impressive. Thank you!

I was very disappointed that the room only went hotter, it would not cool down. It was a very hot day and we were relieved that we brought our own fan. I was also surprised as travel lodge rooms are normally well climate controlled

My husband and I stayed here for a two-night break and were absolutely delighted with our experience. In fact, I would go so far as to say this is the best Premier Inn we've ever stayed in. Our room was spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and very well maintained. I had been a little concerned that the hotel doesn't have air conditioning, especially during the current heatwave, but I needn't have worried. The room had a very effective fan, which kept it so cool that we actually turned it off during the night. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel genuinely well looked after from check-in to check-out. Although we hadn't booked breakfast in advance, we decided to see if we could eat there on our final morning. This wasn't a problem at all, and we're so pleased we did. At £11.99 per person, it was excellent value for money. The all-you-can-eat buffet included a delicious full English breakfast, along with a great selection of lighter options such as blueberry muffins, croissants, crumpets, American pancakes, and toast with butter. There was also a variety of spreads, including jams, Nutella, peanut butter, and Marmite. The drinks selection was equally impressive, with unlimited apple, orange, and cranberry juice, as well as hot drinks from a self-service machine offering cappuccino, latte, espresso, and Americano—all included in the price. The location was another real highlight. We didn't have to move the car for our entire stay. A handy little alleyway to the right of the hotel entrance leads directly to the bus stops, where the 400 and 401 buses run regularly into Whitstable town and harbour before continuing on to Herne Bay. As pensioners, we were able to use our bus passes, making it an easy, convenient, and affordable way to explore the area. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. We would highly recommend this Premier Inn to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, welcoming, and ideally located place to stay.

A fairly standard Premier Inn. Good size room with all the usual facilities. No air conditioning but they had provided a powerful fan in the room so I managed to sleep reasonably well in the exceptionally hot weather. The 'restaurant' and 'bar' were below standard. There was obviously once a restaurant and bar in a separate building but this had closed (and was quietly rotting away). The restaurant is now a small room with a serving hatch for the buffet and with a single member of staff trying to serve all the customers. The bar is a fridge with a few bottles in it. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were most friendly and helpful but there were clearly not enough of them.
