"Poor WiFi /phone signal, maybe not for older folks"
Mixed thoughts- no reception as such, automated check in, only works after 3 pm. Knew there wasn’t a lift -sadly Allocated a room A long way from entrance, up a flight and 1/2 then way along corridor.Room appeared clean, but bottom sheet looked very creased- and some odd marks. Spacious room but only 1 chair when masses of space would allow 2 -rather than sitting on bed. Sealed windows, No fresh air, only air conditioned. Worst thing- WiFi and phone signal non existent, think it was £5 a day to use theirs. Booked continental breakfasts, a bit underwhelming- they did have most of the items, but slow to top up unless you asked. Not Premier Inns fault but so many unsupervised noisy children- Not for older people unless you secure a ground floor room, and go during term time, overall dated atmosphere-

"Beware of the parking"
Our 3 night stay was fine. Room pretty standard as you would expect. Got the better WiFi which worked great. HOWEVER. When we checked in we were checked in my a man at the desk rather than the kiosk screen... Which looked turned off. He didn't ask us if we needed to validate our parking. There was no signage in reception or in the carpark it's self to say parking needs to be validated. The only sign that mentions it is at the entrance to the carpark and it faces away from the direction your probably facing! Have a look on Google street view... So. I got stung for 3 sets of parking fines. I passed that sign 6 times in total during my stay and didn't see it once! Appeals fail to the parking company even when providing proof you were staying at the hotel because naturaly they do with these crappy private parking companies that are just out to rob you. They did reduce the fine to a "generous" £15 a day but the parking fine before was more than the price of my stay! And I'm not the only one. There are several people complaining about the similar on Google reviews or people getting charged even when registering. BEWARE the company that manages parking here are cowboys and clearly do the absolute minimum of signage.

"Tired and scruffy with little attention to detail."
It was OK as a place to rest one's head and the cost of £59 must be borne in mind. However, first impressions were of a scruffy exterior which had not seen a broom, strimmer or window cleaner for far too long. Inside, renovation is overdue, the internet was sub-optimal, there were no USB ports and my room, 107, shared from time to time eau de drains with me. The TV controls needed new batteries I think. On a positive note, the Air Conditioning was fab.
The restaurant, whilst not dirty, needed a deep steam clean and internal glass partitions were filthy. An English breakfast is served, sans marmalade. I appreciate stocks run out, but there's an Asda over the road, and I'd venture that marmalade is so fundamental, it isn't beyond the realms of reasonableness for somebody to pop and buy a few jars.
Overall, probably the worst Premier Inn I have stayed at. Other Inns do much better.

"Rubbish"
What a complete joke this Hotel proved to be. I can almost put up with a broken USB port leaving nowhere to charge your phone, or the bedside light no working.
However, removing the seals from the bottom of the shower screen and not telling you until you’ve flooded the bathroom floor is not acceptable!!
“ oh yes , we’ve removed them because of mould and are waiting for new ones “
How in anyone’s mind is that acceptable?

"2nd class rubbish"
Very basic room. No phone to reception and only one chair In a double room. No walk in shower it was over the bath. No USB ports in the room. Restaurant food was rubbish and service took ages. A run down and poorly neglected hotel and attached pub.You know when you see workmen in their overalls in the restaurant that you're in a cheap dump.Holiday Inn Express across the road is far better, Don't bother.
