"Great help and hospitality"
The attached restaurant/pub was closed during a refit, it had been a stressful day for myself and particularly my wife.
My wife checked in earlier when I dropped her off, the front desk team were very helpful as she booked in.
I arrived later still a little stressed, Macey on the front desk at the reception was very professional, natuarally calming in her tone overall very helpful and engaging building rapport as she explained the bar closure and the local options etc.
I stay in Premier Inns across the UK on a monthly basis, I am always processed mostly the procedure lacks engagement regardless of using the questionable self-check in machines, unreliable and inhospitable parking machine or a human, Macey and her team members on the day condcuting the room cleans were the best I have encountered at any Premier inn and when I had an issue the following week the standard was maintained.
Well done to the management team, you have recruited and trained well, many thanks for your assistance and reassurance, other Premier inns could learn a lot from you and senior management particularly as the machine process does not provide a memorable or hospitable experience!
Many thanks and kind regards

"Poor stay"
The bed was uncomfortable- there was only one bed side table, the pillows were very poor quality, this resulted in a poor nights sleep, in the morning when it was time to shower there was only one reasonable sized towel to dry ourselves

"Very disappointing and inconvenient, very late notice that there was no restaurant or bar available."
Booked up several months ago, regularly stop in Premier inns while travelling for golf because it's reasonably priced and convenient to have restaurant/bar attached for breakfasts and evening meals where we can both relax and have a drink.
4 days before our stay we got an email to say restaurant was closed.
I consider this to be too late notice to start haggling with the hotel to cancel our non refundable rate and look for somewhere else so we thought we would just see how it panned out.
Parking, great plenty space and free as long as you put your details in the machine in the reception.
Rooms were fine, typical Premier inn, we tend to book Premier plus for the better shower, nicer coffee, chocolates and fridge.
As stated restaurant was closed so the hotel was providing pastries from the foyer every morning, this consisted of pain au chocolate and croissants. They were individually packaged so that was good but I'm sorry I like croissants with butter or honey, nothing like this was available with them and eating a cold dried pastry isn't my ideal breakfast !
After our stay my husband wrote to Premier inn complaining that 4 days notice and what we booked and the facilities that we expected werent what we received and were inadequate, he got an apology only but I would have thought as a fairly regular customer with Premier inn that they would at least try to keep our custom with an offer of a discount voucher for our next stay. Extremely disappointed and next time we will be looking at an alternative hotel chain.

"£500 in parking fines after legitimate stay, Premier Inn 'cannot help'"
Stayed here, provided my car registration on check-in, then received 5 parking fines for £95 each so nearly £500 in total and Premier Inn claim that they cannot do anything as it's with their 3rd party parking provider, and I have to go through the process of appealing with them before Premier Inn will do any more. Unacceptable given that it's the car park tied with the hotel and I provided my reg on check-in
