"Excellent Staff"
The hotel is well located, providing a good base to travel around the area. The staff are excellent, and their performance goes a long way to mitigating the obvious issues being experienced by the business. Massive investment would be needed to improve the infrastructure of the hotel, but that is not likely to happen because at some time in the near future, it is due to be closed down.

"Will stay somewhere else next time"
The room setup was good with a lower single child’s bed and a double bed. Unfortunately we were on the ground floor with my son’s bed right up against the bedroom window, and next to a busy road junction. So we had an uncomfortable warm & stuffy sleep with the window closed. Very bad value for money at £100 for 1 night during a mid-week stay.
The breakfast was really bad. The bread, pastries and all cereal were stale, the clearly out-of-a-tin fruit was so dried up, I hate to think how many days it’s been put back out. Compared to the menu, so many items were missing: different types of bread, juice, jams, etc. Very little fresh fruit and the juice was certainly not fresh. Coffee machine not working. Honestly really quite shocking even for £10.99 for the both of us

"Pickle palace"
Came into this room and smelt like pickles!
Soon to find out, it was juice all over the bathroom floor…. Or vinegar?
Room was jet hot and curtains had mysterious substances clung to them? Hesitant to close and still looked wet?!
Good luck if you’re coming here! Hotter than the surface of the sun!

"Just a very frustrating experience overall"
We arrived after 10 hours drive from Cornwall (traffic was horrendous) to meet a friend so we could have a meal at the onsite restaurant but the resection said that the staff had refused to come in that night and that this had been an on going occurance and when asked if we could have breakfast they were reluctant to suggest.I had to drive to a restaurant near by so I count have a drink ( which I had been looking forward to after such a stressful day). I had booked a twin but the room was set up as a double, these things happen but the staff said that they had lots of unoccupied rooms available and they would swap us. The room on initial inspection was tidy however the bathroom was grubby and had mould on the ceiling. The room they gave us was directly adjacent to the reception entrance and the stopper on the door clearly was faulty as everytime the closed it was slow to close and then the last couple of inches had no resistance so banged shut very loudly. At about 12 I asked reception if there was anything they could do about it or at the very least put in a maintenance request regarding it but it continued intermittently all night. it started myself and my guest to the point where we debated whether of not it was worth going back to sleep. I explained this to the morning staff and they said that they were sorry but nothing more. I am incredibly frustrated as I regularly choose Premier inn when working and to just be dismissed a fairly lacklustre "I'm sorry" does not give incentive to want to use again. I gave the staff multiple point to address the issues and I saw no evidence of them even documenting this things as I probably wouldn't have had to repeat the story from the beginning each time I spoke to them.

"Restaurant feels dirty"
We stay at Premier Inn several times a year all around the UK so have a fairly good idea of the standard level of service and accommodation. Rainham (Kent) is our second worst experience (second to Stevenage). Whilst the hotel meets the usual standard, the restaurant is beyond tired. Had we not booked the meal deal, we would not have eaten here. The 'chef' handled food without any apparent hand washing before or after. The carpets appear dirty. The furniture is dire. It feels dirty. Outside the building has not been maintained. Dog pooh on the decking. Picnic tables suitable only for firewood. This is an absolute four lettered word hole. Never again.
