    "Stinky rooms"
We stayed here for a night before an early Channel Tunnel crossing. We stay in Premier Inns frequently and have never stayed in a bad one- until now. We were in the older building next to the pub. As soon as we walked in, I was overwhelmed by the smell of damp which got worse as we moved up the corridor- really musty and a smell of mould. Our family room was at the end of the corridor, on entry it stunk of damp. The window was open but it was horrendous. We asked for a room change and we moved to the room opposite which didn’t smell but was very hot and had no air con. As we were only staying for a bit and leaving at 5am, we put up with it but we won’t be returning.
"Worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in"
We arrived at the hotel to be told straight away that the hotel has no air con and that we only had a fan in our room… not exactly the greatest welcome you wish to hear (especially as it was 30c on both days!!). We were given room 25, and immediately as we walked into the room the STONG smell of damp hit us.. as well as the sweltering heat. The room was very old fashioned and seemed as if it had had better days. Other guests within the wedding party also stayed at the hotel and complained about the heat - this really was unbearable and unacceptable for a ‘modern day hotel’ - how can you add additional blocks onto the hotel and not even fix the main hotel first? I went to the vending machines near reception to seach for water… only to find this seemed to be the only drink out of stock?! This was never re stocked during the stay - surely in a hotel with no air con in 30c heat the hotel should at least be able to provide cold bottles of water? Due to staying at the hotel for a wedding, we didn’t want the aggravation of trying to look for another hotel to stay in for the 2 days (especially as we didn’t know the area). I was going to raise my concerns during check out, however, as we put the keys in the box to leave, not once did we even get a ‘thank you’ or ‘how was your stay’. We all come from hospitality backgrounds so to us this was completely unacceptable. I’ve contacted Premier Inn to pass on feedback, but so far no response…
    "Good hotel"
Good hotel value for money but the carpets need changing stuffy smell ',apart 🤧 from that good value for money 💰 quite stay
"Dirty rooms too hot to sleep in!"
When arriving at Hotel half the carpark is a building site, took 15 minutes to find a parking spot, go to reception waiting a further 10 minutes to get checked in by the most unenthusiastic member of staff, Finally get to room and discover a massive fan blasting, drop bags and head out for dinner and a walk along the sea front, Get back to room around 9:30pm and it’s roasting hot and unbearable turn fan on fan so loud and just blast hot air back at you . ( bearing in mind the 3rd August was a cold grey windy day) Go to have a shower and find pubic hairs in the shower, get the spare pillows out of the bag on a shelf to discover one has a hand print of faeces on it ! Try to get some sleep as it’s late but the fan was to loud the room was to hot and the window didn’t open , Packed up our things and headed to reception to inform them that it unbearable in the room show them the dirty pillow and all the reception person did was hand me a card and said speak to customer relations. We left the hotel at 3am in the morning the would refund me at the reception and just stated speak to customer relations. So far this is the worst premier inn I’ve booked and I’ve been in several around the UK, We ended up trying to sleep in the car but that obviously didn’t happen. I filled out the online form for customer relations expecting at least a response the next or the day after to discuss the issue but instead in took me to chase them on my return from holiday to seek a refund. I managed to speak to someone who said it’s being looked into and I will get an email when a decision is made. Today I received an email and decision and premier inn have only offered £70 as a good will not the full amount of £130 which I feel I’m entitled to as I didn’t stay at the hotel to sleep. Anyone thinking of using this hotel don’t you will not get any sleep and the rooms are dirty.
"BEWARE NOT PREMIER BY ANY MEANS THE PREMIER INN - GO ELSEWHERE"
A dated hotel with no air conditioning but still charging premium rates (£176 for one night incl breakfast) We stayed at an Ibis in Calais to night before our tour at a rate of £95 incl breakfast, so peak time but much cheaper and with air con in the room. The corridors in this hotel are extremely hot for some strange reason and fans are already running in your room due to the heat in the rooms. All windows in this hotel are open which is a sign of the heat issue problem throughout the building. My wife couldn't find anyone on reception when she wanted to speak to someone. A cleaner appeared and said he "was putting the bins out at the moment"! Best stay clear of this hotel and don't get ripped off by Premier Inn. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!!
