"Okay for 1 night before a cruise"
Nice location to port. We booked for 1 night. 1-2 nights here would be fine but probably would not stay for a long visit. It was about 10 pounds for a taxi from train station. It’s an older hotel. “With a view” could mean you can see the water even if you have to lean in the corner of the window on your tippy toes. The hotel is old and the rooms small typical European rooms. There is NO A/C so beware. We had a small fan and the window opens a little. Even at end of July weather was cool so was not bad. Note if you are parking in the lot it is managed by another company. To get the discount my understanding is you need to prepay with them. The lot is small. Street parking appeared to be free. Staff were friendly. Even after getting yelled at about the room view and parking by another guest :/
"Stay if you have a second room you can wash in!"
On the 24th july we stayed here and After bathing my sons I was unable to shower as no water came out of the taps. My partner went to reception to report the problem and was told that this happens sometimes and there was nothing he the recptionist could do No apology, didn't seem to care. I was able to wash in the room next door luckily because my mother was in there. But had to source this myself as clearly no other options was going to be offered! I have stayed in premier inns before and never have received such an attitude from a receptionist, as a result we had an unsettled night and I can safely say we did not have a good night.and left at 4.30am with 4 children 2 of them being under 5! my MIL and Family members have been working in premier inns for a very long time over the years including being the DHM of one of your branches and never have I ever seen any of them not try and help a guest out with any issue they always tried to rectify the problem.

I stayed at the Dover Premier Inn on the 5th of July 2025 with a family of 4, and needless to say it was really not the best. We arrived at around 6 or 7pm after a long drive from Holyhead. The parking lot was full, so we parked our car on the street which was free of charge. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff to help us check in. Cons: When we arrived to the actual room, it was tiny and really small (staying on the first floor). The curtains were hanging off the rail and the tint on the window was falling off. The room needed an upgrade. There was a sofa bed which was uncomfortable not going to lie, I actually cut my leg open from a wire that was sticking out the end of the bed. The bathroom was also small. Pros: Nice breakfast, friendly staff, free parking, great location as it is close to the ferry. In conclusion it was a pretty meh stay. The hotel room was the let down for me, but I did sleep. The staff were the highlight and the breakfast was really good.

Back at the premier inn dover central.where we were warmly met by Louise and the team. Full of smiles even though it was busy . Rooms a good price and nice and clean and spacious. Close to town and the ferry ports. You always get a good welcome here. Louise and the team are an asset to the hotel and we enjoy returning.
    "Good one night stay"
Overnight stay after travelling back by France by motorcycle. Space where motorcycle can be parked, with a post it can be locked to in view of reception. Friendly and helpful stay. Had a drink at the attached pub but as it was busy and they were short staffed elsewhere. Usual PI breakfast which was plentiful. Quiet night with no problems. Thanks.
