Dover Central (Eastern Ferry Terminal) hotel

Awful experinence: was staying for business in early July 26. While the room was provided with a fan, it was completely ineffective: the hotel comes with no aircon, so the room sat at 29 degrees, with window open. The first floor room i got faced onto the dual carriageway & cliffs, and while a little noisy when arriving at midnight, was tolerable when using ear plugs with the window open - fell asleep pretty quickly. Come 3am though, and the road noise as trucks started to come past, shaking the room - this, combined with the curtains letting in loads of light, meant up i woke- and was then awake, overheating, and struggling to go back to sleep, until tiredness finally kicked back in at approx 5:45, hoping that I'd at least get until 7:30 to sleep. Fire alarm was then set off at 06:15 - leading to a full evacuation. This series of events lead to a cancelled workstream due to failing risk assessments for expected work due to lack of sleep. -> When complaining in the morning, was told to escalate to formal team under Good Night Guarantee - only to find that because of location and external factors (road noise due to being next to dual carriageway) and fire alarm, these were explicitly excluded from the good night guarntee. If you are planning on staying here before a day of driving in europe, i would highly recommend you find elsewhere.

Comfortable stay next to the ferry terminal ready for an early crossing. Food service friendly and conveniently on-site.

Room with view was as expected and the room was comfortable. Facilities all worked. Check in is all digital and self service and if your unsure the young lad on reception wasn’t much help , on his phone and just pointing to what you should do instead of heaven forbid he gets up to assist. That being said the staff at the bar couldn’t do enough to help , with it being warm they were offering ice buckets & water so top marks for them

The receptionist was one of the friendliest, patient and most welcoming person, I've ever met. His kindness and warmth welcome, made such a positive impression. I found myself in a very stressful situation when I arrived in Dover and he went above and beyond to help me. His kindness made everything so much easier. Thanks to him I can't wait to return to Dover again.

We have arrived at the worst possible weather situation red alert risk to life, however the hotel is not set up for any temp above 20 degrees, we are suffering in non air conditioning, a small standing fan and a very small window opening, it is not good. However the room extremely comfortable, the bed is amazing, the hot water and shower pressure, amazing. BUT again as a retired Whso officer, the step over bath shower is not safe. It needs grab rails at chest height, there is an attempt with a couple on the bath but all they will do is hurt you if you fall, a very poor set up, that ruins a very good accomodation
