Dover Central (Eastern Ferry Terminal) hotel

Res No AJ16709748 I arrived 2nd April all was ok at reception nothing had changed much my last visit ( we had stayed here each September from 2007 - 2018 and always been very satisfied) had evening meal in restaurant ok next morning breakfast food and plates cold not good , had evening meal in restaurant plate cold again , checked out next morning.

We stayed in this hotel ahead of an early start the next day, the location is really convenient if you need the ferry. The beds are really comfortable, there’s enough space in the room for 2 people and it doesn’t feel cramped when you’re both moving around getting ready. The breakfast buffet is good quality and more than enough to go back for seconds. For the best value I would definitely recommend getting the breakfast and dinner meal deal. The only negative is that you have to pay for Parking- annoying when you’re already paying for the hotel.

There was loud banging noise throughout the night which kept my family awake. I reported this to reception at around 5am and was told there was no room above us and that the noise may have been coming from staff and could not be controlled. As a result, nothing was done to resolve the issue and we were left without sleep. Premier Inn advertises a “Good Night Guarantee”, which is one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. Despite explaining that we had been kept awake most of the night and had reported the issue, my request for a refund has been refused. It is extremely disappointing that a hotel promoting a good night’s sleep would not honour this guarantee after a night where guests were clearly disturbed and the issue could not be resolved by staff. I will unfortunately not be staying here again.

Room was fine, bed comfortable, facilities satisfactory, bathroom very clean, water hot. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Reccomended for a short stay.

From the moment I had to arrange an early check-in and request a room on the same floor and near our friends to helping light the candle on the birthday cake whilst I juggled the presents. I found everyone so friendly and helpful from Reception to Bar. They were even able to provide a jug of water so we could keep the bouquet of flowers alive during our stay. The room was large and clean. Location was exceptional and had no problem getting a parking space.
