Dover Central (Eastern Ferry Terminal) hotel

Greatted by a machine . As no one in reception. Managed to figure out how to book in and produce 2 keys for the room. Room was clean and tidy. Everything you need in the room . Restaurant was a bit dated and got there for 6.30 ish good job we did another 10 minutes half the menu was off. . But food good. They forgot about our starters and nearly finished main course and the starters eventually turned up. Then remembered we need to pay for parking. Check out was easy and warm welcome as we where leaving . Otherwise a good stay.

The room had no air conditioning. One towel In a family. Both bar staff and breakfast staff where very rude and miserable. Horrible atmosphere

Stayed for week while working in Dover. Lovely friendly and very helpful staff. Room nice and clean. Always plenty of parking for my work van. Right on the sea front, so some nice walks to be had in the evenings. Would definitely recommend staying here

We regularly stay in Premier Inns but this hotel is one that really lets the brand down. It’s surely not right that there can be such disparity within the same company. The hotel is crying out for a refurbishment. Everything about it was low grade and felt grubby. The bar staff seemed disinterested and there was no sense of providing a good experience for guests. We couldn’t face eating in the restaurant. Our room was 28 degrees with a small fan that failed to make much difference to the temperature. Most other Premier Inns have air conditioning or better fans. After an uncomfortable night we were glad to leave. The one plus point is the proximity to the ferry terminal.

It's the overall first impression of the hotel that lets it down. On arrival, there was a family in the back car park changing brake pads and discs on 2 cars whilst spreading themselves and all their belongings across 6 parking spaces, the entrance was congested and dirty and the smoking area made it littered with cigarette butts. Once through the reception area beyond the access door, it looks really tired, dirty and dated. Paint chipped and peeling off walls and doors, carpets pealing from stair ways and the carpets in the corridors dirty and stained, plus there was an unusual smell? You wonder with anticipation what the room is like?? The room was okay and clean enough. It didn't have air-conditioning, but there was a fan left in the room that was okay. We wandered in to the restaurant next door to look at food options, again, empty food plates and glasses littered the sticky tables, it just looked dirty and in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Suffice to say, we walked along the promenade to the Italian by the harbour, that we can highly recommend. We travel regularly to France and if we have an early ferry, stay over in Dover. We have historically stayed at Dover Marina Tapestry and Spa, but thought about giving this place a chance, however, until this hotel gets a refurbishment and cleaned, we will be going there again on our next trip. The one positive is the fact that it's so close to the terminal.
