    "Prem inn stay"
Room was great and Melissa on reception was really helpful. Hotel was great value for money as booked at very short notice
    "Tired, noisy and definitely mediocre."
We stayed for 3 nights as a break. Was it ok? Yes I suppose so. It was what it was. The room was ok, bed was comfortable but the traffic noise was constant. Couldn’t close the window because it was too hot, no A/C, not that it would have done much good because the window didn’t close properly anyway. We opted for the meal deal and ate at the adjacent Beefeater restaurant. Breakfast was quite good but better quality products would improve it greatly, the sausages were quite strange, looked good but lacked taste or texture. Dinner was only average. I cannot point to anything and say that was wrong or not good enough but it was just ok. Not a place I would choose to to eat at again. Service in the restaurant was, again, ok. It was slow, sporadic and a bit slapdash but generally ok. As with this type of establishment staffing was at a minimum but they seemed to cope. The same goes for the hotel itself. The staff were ok, they did nothing wrong but I felt like I was someone to be tolerated rather than a paying customer. Not a happy workforce? Would I come back? No. Would I recommend the hotel? No. Was anything specifically wrong with the place? No. The place needs facelift and a shake up. The days of mediocrity should be, hopefully, over.
    "Nice stay"
Nice room. Comfy beds. Friendly staff. Really poor free WiFi. The first night a little unnerving at the parking lot because of a person who went and looked in all the cars. Delt with by the reception.
    "Friendly staff"
Room was clean and comfortable, the food next door was great. The young girl Melissa on check in was very helpful and welcoming.
"Premier Inn A20 - not what I expected"
OK this is awkward. I don't like giving negative reviews, it is almost impossible for me at times to criticise when I know it may affect the staff in a negative way. So, if any of the staff read this review, please know it is a constructive review. I want to help you improve! Let me set the scene. I had just driven 6 and a half hours to the hotel in one go, to avoid being too late. I arrived at 18:30ish, and was checked in very efficiently. The receptionist was not the most cheerful but they were not unhelpful! I headed to my room and at first glance, nothing seemed to be a problem. The same layout I expect when staying at a Premier Inn. The room was clean and I had no problems there. The room I stayed in was just in need of some TLC though, the walls were tired, wooden trims tired etc. Just needed freshening up. But the biggest issues for me were the noise level and heat level of the room. Now, I had the window open, but I am not including the noise from having the window open in my issue around noise level. The heat was pretty bad, we had a few hot days prior but it had cooled significantly during my stay. Despite having the window open all night, the room temperature stayed at a constant high. The fan just blew hot air around me and allowed me to cook a bit faster. Made for an uncomfortably warm night. Noise wise, I heard every footstep from the room above me. The floor creaked every time they moved, which disrupted me throughout the night, which was a shame. Teamed with the heat issue, this was not ideal. I was very tired the next day Moving on, let me rewind a little bit to the evening, to the restaurant situation. I was starving when I arrived! I had not prebooked and in hindsight I probably should have. However, as I was on my own I thought I'd be squeezed in. But I was not. This is where ordering and taking to your room would be very beneficial, but only if the food is of good quality and doesn't require a long wait for it. Unfortunately there was no table available for me until 20:30 despite there being very little people sat at tables from where I was stood. Also no sounds of talking that you normally hear when a restaurant is fully booked. Anyway, I did end up driving to Mcdonalds to get something quick and ate it in my room. Breakfast the next morning was not great, the selection was good but my whole dish was luke warm and not piping hot. It was still edible however and I ate it all (I'm referred to as a human dustbin when I am hungry) but still disappointing to experience. I think the reason it was not as warm I expected was due to it being served on a cold plate. To conclude, it was not the stay I expected of a Premier Inn and did leave a bad taste in my mouth. I would stay here again, if rooms could be installed with aircon maybe or some method of circulating air more efficiently. Also, if the restaurant would allow food to be ordered and taken to the room would be great! Only if the food is of good quality and doesn't require a long wait for it. Also, if anything can be done about noise from above with regards to the floorboards, that would also be great. (Maybe bring ear plugs if this noise would annoy you) But other than all of that, it was still a comfortable bed, clean enough for me and the same Premier Inn style I have come to expect. Just needs some TLC and some small tweaks to be improved. Also, just make sure to get Wifi, I had no phone signal in the room. Not an issue for me was great to be off grid (some nice peace and quiet) but something to make people aware of.
