"Bad customer service and bad communication with evening nd breakfast"
We stayed here with our two children in 16th Aug 2026 traveing from southwales to Dover to catch a ferry in the morning.
We had booked and paid for the deal for breakfast for two adults and two children who would eat free per one paying adult.
We had a simular offer and deal we paid for in advance for tea time for that same evening.
This was to be in the beefeater restaurant that was right next door to the Premier inn hotel.
About 3 weeks before we were told on the day of our stay the restaurant wouldn't be open and we would be refunded for our meal deal for the evenings meal but the breakfast would still be available. As we had paid for both meal deals and had checked and seen the refund for the evening meal deal only that had been refunded we thought no more about it and on route there travelling from south wales we had arranged and booked a table to eat that evening else where.
On arrival we were made aware of the restaurant beef eater next door being unavailable for an evening meal and how we were refunded for this but that we were still having breakfast that would be available next door at the beefeater.
My husband was then told its £26 for breakfast for the two adults, 2 children eat free. We were annoyed as it clearly stated we had paid for breakfast and the evening meal but had shown only the refund for the that and not the breakfast.
We were appalled at such bad service and communication about this and refused to pay for the breakfast having checked it was paid with the price of the hotel ect on booking and it showed a £0 balance on our recept for 2 adults and 2 children's clearly now the hotel had revoked both offers only refunding a meal in the evening for two.
We wouldn't call it premier inn.
We would not recommend staying there, certainly not pre ordering and paying for breakfast or to eat in a clearly looking closed down or run down looking beef eater next door.
Our hotel room was clean and adequate, but clearly not a family room, but one that was a double room and had a pull out bed underneath a double and a sofa bed. Quite a squeeze for 4 .
Not family room in my opinion.
Expensive for what you got not worth it.
Oh and the staff on the morning when leaving didn't even say hi, How was your stay? ect it was just post the card in the box on your way out. Too busy talking to one another that's the service to get these days!!
Disgusting.
I'd like to paint out having working in sales for over 10 years.
it is a
misrepresentation to advertise for a service with price that is clearly not available then still continue to advertise such evening Meal service from the beefeater on your premier Inn website as it still advertised now and the night of our stay.
Very unhappy customer who will not return.
I strongly advice against staying at this Hotel.

"Absolutely dreadful. Avoid!"
My family and I stayed here for 1 night in July before our trip to France. Firstly, when we entered our room, we noticed that it looked old, rundown and in need of renovation. Not at all as shown on their website. The room was roasting hot and no air-conditioning. The very old fan that had been supplied was inefficient and dusty so it blew dust around the room when switched on. It was underpowered so gave no relief at all. The restaurant was also closed for evening meal so we had to go out in search of somewhere to eat. We all struggled to sleep with the heat but when we finally dropped off we were all woken by an event in the car park at 3am. Not able to get back to sleep and now dreading our long onward journey to France, we went for breakfast all feeling dreadful. I reported all of this to reception and the disturbance at 3am had been recorded by the night team. Advised to report it and claim on the Good Night Guarantee, I did this but they flatly refused our claim even after admitting their had been an issue. The guarantee is useless. We use this chain regularly but now i will look for other places to stay. My advice is look for an Air B&B as this place is dreadful! Premier Inn is not the same anymore.

"Pretty dreadful!"
If Premier Inn is going to keep in business it will need to up its game with regard to climate crisis. The night we stayed (five of us, 2 rooms, ages 4 to 79 years) the rooms were much hotter than the evening air outside and sleeping was virtually impossible.
In addition, one of our party relies on sleep apnoea apparatus and a power cut during the night left him choking and unable to breathe.
The rooms themselves were well appointed and clean and the staff efficient.
As the restaurant next door was closed, we were unable to get supper there. We resorted to ordering a delivery and ate it sitting on the beds and floor because there was only one chair in each room.
We paid £138 x 2 =£276.00 for this experience.
Would not recommend.

"Travel further, dont stay here"
I wouldnt recommend this place, the aircon didnt work, the restaurant was closed, the photos above look nothing like the rooms we had, they looked awful, cracks, rubbed off paintwork, nmould in the bathroom, we only stayed as we were using the shuttle the day after. I wrote to Premier Inn as we use them a lot, and showed them the photos, they didnt care, we used Holiday Inn on the way back, I think they will be my go to now.
