"Amazing stay yet again"
We have had yet another wonderful stay at this hotel! On entering the room we found that it had been refurbished to a beautiful standard since our last visit. Really lovely decor, extra sockets which is always a big help, and as well as the rainfall shower head, there has been included a take-down shower head which is a really good additive. We are so pleased with that. Well done Premier Inn! As always, the cleanliness was spot on. Sharon, the head housekeeper, goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and she has a fantastic team. Thank you also to the helpful and friendly team downstairs too. They are always so lovely! We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so. See you next time! Sheila and Alannah
"Baaaaaaaad"
Takes a lot for me to go in on something like this….parking is buggered, they have no on site parking at present. All the nearest car parks were closed or didn’t work, took us 40 mins to get one and drag our cases a 15 minute walk. Internet does not work, Tv buggered and can’t get signal. In my 41 years of life, the worst I’ve stayed in.
"Disappointing stay."
I stayed for at the premiere in Canterbury for 4 days across the week, the stay was below average at best. Arriving on the Sunday started with a very unwelcoming response, we did arrive slightly early (14:25) so we were aware that we might not be able to check in early, or at least have the usual option to pay the early check in fee, this time however we were simply met with a “check in’s at 15:00 so you can wait over there (in the bar area) if you want” I should mention that the person didn’t actually stop to talk to us just walked out of the office and past us and asked what we wanted. Breakfast each day was a a waiting game to have someone actually come to the hosting desk to seat us, once actually seated everything was fine but considering each time we went for breakfast it was quiet I’d have expected to be seated quicker, and not have staff members walk past without any acknowledgment. The biggest issue I had with my stay at this hotel was the persistence for the hotel staff to try enter my room on check out day. Despite having a do not disturb sign on the door and check out being at 12, there were three separate occasions between 9:50 and 11:30 where someone knocked on my door and opened it. What’s the point in having a sign on the door if it’s completely ignored. The rooms, were clean and tidy. It’s very clear that they have been refurbished very recently, the smell of paint from the corridors suggests the rooms I stayed in were done in the week before my arrival. Overall, a pretty disappointing stay. One that will not have me rush back to stay here again.
"Early check-in is mis-advertised and cleaning needs to improve"
Paid for early check in but was told cleaners had only just turned up and we had to wait for our room. Why advertise a time/service if it is not deliverable? Cleanliness of room was rushed and not up to par - hoovering missed, mould on tiles and stain on pillow case. Foyer smelt of cigarettes due to doors open to the car park for the building work going on. Given we paid extra for a premier plus room - this was a very disappointing experience. Staff were visibly stressed due to the issues with early check in.
"Pleasant enough stay. Tainted by parking issues"
Stayed here for two nights with my partner and six month old child. Would have been 4*as the room was everything we needed . However the parking, which we had been informed was limited due to renovation, was non existent. Meaning we had to do multiple trips to get everything we needed for a 6 month old out of the car 300-400 metres away. This also cost us around £30 of unexpected parking charges. Room was pleasant and clean, just a shame we were misled with the parking situation else we’d have booked elsewhere.
