"Early check-in is mis-advertised and cleaning needs to improve"
Paid for early check in but was told cleaners had only just turned up and we had to wait for our room. Why advertise a time/service if it is not deliverable? Cleanliness of room was rushed and not up to par - hoovering missed, mould on tiles and stain on pillow case. Foyer smelt of cigarettes due to doors open to the car park for the building work going on. Given we paid extra for a premier plus room - this was a very disappointing experience. Staff were visibly stressed due to the issues with early check in.
"Pleasant enough stay. Tainted by parking issues"
Stayed here for two nights with my partner and six month old child. Would have been 4*as the room was everything we needed . However the parking, which we had been informed was limited due to renovation, was non existent. Meaning we had to do multiple trips to get everything we needed for a 6 month old out of the car 300-400 metres away. This also cost us around £30 of unexpected parking charges. Room was pleasant and clean, just a shame we were misled with the parking situation else we’d have booked elsewhere.
"City break for 3 nights"
We stayed here for 3 nights and it did not disappoint. We asked for a quiet room which was given and also we had one of the new refurbished rooms which was very comfortable, as was the bed. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and well presented.. The staff were very helpful, from Deepak and Prem at reception to Sharon, Emma and the lovely Rachael who looked after us so well. If we could throw a stone it would be at the fact that we were unable to open the window, consequently the room was somewhat uncomfortable as it was very hot at times. We have had windows that opened with a safety bar but, alas, not here. Would defininitely stay there again.
"Unhelpful staff"
Nice hotel in a convenient location just outside the city center. The rooms were what you would expect from Premier Inn, comfortable and well equipped, although a little small. The breakfast was excellent. However, we only had contact with two members of staff, the receptionist on arrival and the receptionist to the breakfast room. Both were unfriendly and unhelpful.
"Okay got a few nights"
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Good Room size. although bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied from previous person in my room. Shame windows weren’t able to open felt a bit closed in. Neighbours were loud talking and the next morning I told a member of staff and they sorted it and no troubles next night. Building works were in action but I was prewarned so a small disturbance in the morning.
