"Three night stay"
Not as good as other Premier Inns I’ve stayed at (which is most of them).
When I walked into the room the first thing that hit me was the immense heat.
I knew there was no air con but the fan provided was terrible - not only one of the old-fashioned ones but absolutely filthy and dusty so I couldn’t put it on as I would have had dirt and dust blasted all over me. Other Premier Inns have much better and more modern fans.
I went back down to reception to ask if I could be put in a room on the ground floor - all the Premier Inns I have stayed in this hot summer have accommodated my request for this but the receptionists here were not helpful and despite there being no other cars in the car park and my arriving bang on check-in time at 3 pm they said they were full. I asked for a different fan and one was brought to my room.
Food is at the Beefeater opposite, sadly it is closing down but the staff still give fabulous service despite the knowledge that they are going to be losing their jobs soon, the full English gave me a great start to my day.

"Avoid"
Stayed at this premier in twice this week and wouldn’t recommend
No air con (was aware of this)
Outside temp was 18 degrees over night the room temperature remained at 27 degrees throughout the night
Window only opens a couple of inches so no air flow
Fan provided was terrible on full blast would not blow a balloon around absolutely rubbish and this fan is used in all premiers as we stayed in another a few weeks ago with the same issue
Windows were dirty with built up dead flies as you can see from picture
Beef eater opposite is closing down so service is terrible currently on one of our visits they shut down completely to non booked guests for both food and drink
On initial visit I had completed online check in but was told that this premier does not have the system to support this and had to go through a lengthy check in process due to the elderly lady behind the desk who was struggling with the computer not ideal after a 5 hour travel day
Overall another poor experience with Premier Inn and no guaranteed good night sleep due to the immense heat in the room
Avoid and look around the area for alternatives

"Falty Towers without the humour"
A Fawlty Towers like experience (but without the humour of John Cleese). The hotel has problems with temperature regulation in rooms (which I can now see were allready mentioned on google reviews a year ago). Room temperature: 26 degrees celsius, - outside temp 17 degrees. Solution of hotel: a fan in the room (no airco).
Soap dispenser in bathroom: simply gross. Cost of room: 90 GBP (breakfast excl). Expected a reasonably quality room for this price.
Oh yes: included in price: slow internet, if you want fast internet you need to pay extra 😉

"Excllent overnight stay"
Freiendly reception with very clean room/bathroom. Quiet location. Value for money. Excellent service both in the hotel and restaurant. Only drawback is there is no airconditioning, but rooms were provided with a ventilation fan which compensated adequately for the lack of airconditioning.

"Warm room . Couldn't get any sleep"
Warm room . Planned to use it for a good night sleep before a long drive but I came out worse in the morning . Couldn't sleep properly as it was too hot . Fan was just a noise. Not blowing any air .
