Ashford (Eureka Leisure Park) hotel

The hotel no longer looks the beautiful pristine white it shows on the photo. Its now dirty, grey and well worn. The staff on reception we saw were wonderful hosts, very welcoming, warm and attentive. The rooms were okay. The air conditioning was on when we arrived, which was thoughtful. The beds were made up and all linen was clean. The floor in the bathroom and some of the walls showed their age/usage and could do with a refresh. Unfortunately, it seems that the housekeeping team only use a robohoover and the edges of the rooms and around doorframe have a clear boundary of about 3cm of white dust which is very obvious. The carpet in the hallway of the 1st floor had puckered and is quite a trip hazard now. Breakfast was next door at the beefeater but you're mu h better off with a McDonald's just a few steps further on. It was concerning when we arrived that the server was very flustered and was the only staff member on. He did comment that Mondays weren't usually so busy. He returned multiple breakfasts to the chef before even taking them to the table. I went to get some cereal for my 4 year old and went through a pile of 12 dishes before finding a clean one. They had obviously been through the was and had dried food stuck on them. The fruit salad looked like it had been out for several days and the pastries left much to be desired too. With one of us being a coeliac, we decided not to take a chance with the kit hen when they couldn't even get straight forward sausage and bacon right. The server dis persist that it would be okay, but we certainly weren't comfortable with the risk of being glutened.

Stayed here for one night on the way to the channel tunnel for a trip to Disneyland Paris. Easy free parking very helpful and friendly reception staff. We were in our room within a few minutes of arriving. Room was spotless with a very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. We used the Beefeater for the evening meal but had an early morning departure so did not have breakfast. We would stay here again.

We booked primarily for location from Folkestone- easy to find, right off the motorway. Booked 2 family rooms for 5 of us in total. Rooms were spacious and clean. Reception staff were helpful, and assisted us with removing a spare bed that we didnt need, and unlocking the inter-connecting doors. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was great too.

Second time we have stayed here. This time was Easter weekend and the staff on reception gave our kids some stickers while we checked in. We also entered the room to find some mini eggs for the kids and a note from the staff. A really nice gesture and much appreciated. Room was spacious and clean as always

Hotel was good, beefeater no good for breakfast. No buffet, had to wait 10 mins to be served, then wait another 20 mins for my food to come which was stone cold. Told staff and they just shrugged the shoulders and said sorry.
