"Premier Inn normally ultra consistent, not this time"
I stayed at the Premier Inn in Douglas where I have stayed before, and also I stayed at another Premier Inn the following night. One of the selling points of Premier Inn is the consistent standards but the duvet had what looked like a blood mark on it. And the pillows were very flat, as if they had been used for so long that they had been compacted. I arrived late so just got on with it. Another small matter was I got charged an additional £1 when I arrived for which the staff could not explain. The staff were very friendly when this happened and when I arrived, so no reflection on them.

"A fantastic time!"
Great location only a short walk from the ferry, with bus, tram and steam train stops (and the Manx museum) all in walking distance.
The team were absolutely brilliant and made us feel extremely welcome. We stayed for 3 nights and can’t wait to return, having had a fantastic time!
Special thanks to Charlotte and John and for taking such good care of us - our little boy was made to feel like royalty and loved every minute (so much so, he kept asking to stop sight seeing so we could go back to the hotel!)
We have fallen in love with the Island and are already planning our next adventure!

"Just okay if your staying over one night."
Nothing stood out at all. Only positive I could really talk about was the Staff were friendly enough. In no particular order. I stayed 3 nights 4 days, in a standard room. Mattress was comfortable, pillows were just okay, and not much more. Not like other Premier Inn's I've stayed in. No one came to freshen up / clean my room / empty the bin in 3 days. Same towels. No glass in the bathroom. TV remote wasn't great if you stuck with it it appeared to work some of the time. You have to wash your own coffee mugs, they were not replaced / cleaned each day. No bottle water either, which I thought is mean in 2026. You get this if you book a more expensive room apparently, otherwise bring your own. But with Premier Inn's buying power you'd think they'd stretch to a simple small bottle of water - but no. No iron or ironing board in the room, you have to request one especially, again pretty hopeless and inconvenient..
You had to make your own bed. No room service door hangers available to denote you want your room serviced. The food was really average at best, and fairly forgettable to be honest. I ordered my Dessert with my food initially, thinking this would speed up delivery time of my dessert. It did not. I had to wait quite a while on it coming out. I wouldn't like to see it if the restaurant was full? It was about one third full. The breakfast again was okay but uninspiring.
Even in June it was pouring down with rain. Not the hotels fault I know. Worth noting the pay car park is quite a walk away from the front door of the hotel. So got soaked, even with a good coat on, and not a great way to start my work day getting into my car to set off. Glad to be heading home at this point.
