"‘Premier’… No longer."
The worst of the worst; Premier Inn’s are past their use by date and either need some serious investment to take them back to where they were in the 2010’s, or just close down.
Where to begin?
The beds not being changed? The bins left rotting for 4 days in the room in the stifling heat without aircon?
The bar manager sitting at the table with us whilst taking the order, and then touching the food (whilst pointing at it) after putting it on the table?
The zero aircon?
The zero toilet roll in the room and NOBODY to ask for a new one?!
The lack of a human being available despite standing and ringing the reception bell for 15 minutes?
The pint of Moretti that tasted of ‘damp’?
Don’t ever stay here. I’ve paid less for a hostel and got a better experience.

"Top service despite being under resources!"
I stay in the ‘Purple Palace about 4 nights a week for business regularly so don't often feel the need to leave a review. But I wanted to tonight because I wanted to give a huge commendation for the team at the Premier Inn in Welwyn Garden City specifically Darren, Sophie, and Prisca, who provided excellent customer service during my visit.
Despite the restaurant being packed out on a Friday night and the team being understaffed, ( Come on PI management ! )
they maintained high professionalism from my check in and throughout dinner service, going above and beyond. The tean looked after me incredibly well. The food quality, prepared by Prisca, was also excellent. Congratulations to them for working together so brilliantly.

"Rude receptionist, unfortunately"
The receptionist was rude and showcased micro-aggressive behaviour towards foreign guests. I was very rudely told to wait by the red-haired receptionist when trying to check-in, and was left hanging for a while. However, when a couple of caucasian-looking guests came in after me to check-in, they were attended to immediately with great enthusiasm. Furthermore, the room was definitely not equipped for a heatwave. Greatly appreciated the two fans provided but one of them did not work very well, making it extremely uncomfortable, warm and suffocating to stay in. Hence, would greatly appreciate the installation of air conditioning.

"Staff lacking professionalism"
Discovered a dirty pair of adults underwear next to our child’s bed requested it to be removed. Staff failed to remove the dirty underwear not very happy with the service in the slightest.
