Welwyn Garden City hotel

WOW... don't hesitate!! Ticked every box. From a very warm welcome on check in, a truly lovely warm hearted ❤️ Michelle So professional and efficient with a twist of care that we felt very welcomed. The atmosphere was fresh and bright, everything you need if not, just ask nothing is a problem, they deliver with professionalism. Rooms were perfect, everything we needed and even extra tea and milk. The room was very clean and immaculate. We had no issue with noise, we actually slept the best ever in years!! The location for us was perfect for our us visiting family and numerous train journeys. Too be honest what an amazing team at premier inn, can't remember everyone's names, but you all are truly amazing ❤️ and keep moving forward, even chef cooked me special vegan sausage 😀. Just 1 thing guys keep the draught flowing ( Heniken) don't run out 🤣😂. The value was great, we actually had a 4 night stay with a travel break and returned for the following week. Absolute disgusted with the manager, no connection with the customers she looked miserable. The two days that we stayed here had an issue with the restaurant asked for two plates. I asked this girl if I could get two plates she said no they don’t give them out. I said to her that we have bought food. We just need to use them and then I’ll bring them down. She said you would have to ask the chef in the kitchen, so I asked her She tried to accuse us for stealing them I was so disgusted with that in the end I had to say we were eating in the restaurant so she gave me two plates and then I took them to my room. She followed me to my room and I told her I will return the plates back and she was not having any of it in the end. We had our food and I took them downstairs and gave them back to her and told her not to use people for stealing plates it doesn’t look good for the hotel and the people that come to it. I am very disgusted of this kind of behave from staff. We paid good money to stay at a hotel not to be accused of stealing things and disgusting attitude. The only plus thing is one of the housekeeping name, Lorraine. She was fantastic very happy and bubbly asked for iron and ironing board and towels. She had no problem getting them for us. A great person.

Arrived late roughly 2200 hrs, staff were amazing and very helpful. Rooms were fab/clean/tidy, so really happy with rooms. The breakfast team were simply amazing, breakfast quality was fabulous, Willow & Stephen truly put a smile on our faces, listening to our dynamics, they supported me beyond great, it simply put a smiles on our faces. 100% recommend staying here, Please thank all your team for an amazing stay.

This has to be the worse premier inn in England. Arrived yesterday from the premier inn at Stevenage north due to work extension and availability. To be greeted by a wedding party that the hotel had no control over, 30 plus kids running round, the place was disgusting. Up till 5am, then up at 8 this morning getting ready, must have been 70/80 in the party. No respect whatsoever. We are contractors working nights. Got no sleep at all. Then today the service is none existent, meal orders wrong. Staff rude, in fact beyond rude. 3 time I’ve stopped here this year. Never again, avoid like the plague. I’ve still another night to endure, I can’t wait for the wedding party to return, what fun!!!

Mon 10th November. Took over 2 hours for food to be cooked and arrived cold. Everybody was waiting for food some longer than the 2 hours we waited. Food on the hotplate waiting to be served for 10 to 15 minutes before staff served the food. It took 30 minutes from taking our order for the drinks to be delivered. Many people where complaining manager refused to come out of his office. Tuesday 11th November. A different night completly food was served quickly and hot. Darren did his usual excellent job of making sure peoples orders where taken and drinks delivered and food servesd as soon as it was ready. In between cleaning tables after helping in the kitchen. Staff should learn from this excellent employee.
