"Exactly what I needed- safe, clean and comfortable."
Check in was easy with new machines. Room was clean. Didn't use the 'Social' facilities, but they seemed nice and quiet- even on a Friday night. Over night was quiet. Bed was wonderfully comfy, water was warm and checkout time was perfect for my needs.

"Not the most welcoming and broken aircon"
Not the best premier inn I’ve stayed in, broken aircon and was not informed about this when checking in and the man on reception was very grumpy

"Not a "Premier Inn""
I just wanted to reach out to let you know how my stay was at Welwyn garden city on the night of Saturday 01-07-2026. I stayed in room 236. So second floor and one of the furthest rooms from the reception. Reception has been modernised with the auto check in. The QR code system was not working for any one. The reception desk was not manned. On the way to my room there were several deep marks in the walls. Several light fittings hanging on their cables from the ceilings in the corridors. When I got in my room it was measuring 36/37°C. There was a fan on but it was just recirculating the hot air. As the windows were closed. I opened the windows. Got changed and went to the party I was there for. When I got back my room had been invaded by several critters that I managed to get back to the out doors. Had a shower and got to bed. Then the trains going by. Now I understood why you have inner and outer double glazing. I have stayed at many a Premier Inn up and down the country. I have to say this was one of the worst I have ever stayed in. At £95 for the room. It should have been more like £45. I would advise that at the very least the Track facing rooms must have Air con installed. Not only so the windows can be kept closed for the trains but also for the bugs. When I got to reception in the morning there was no one about. The check in terminals did not function. So I was left wondering who to tell about my issues from the night before. I really don't like to complain. But I believe in feed back. So as always I leave it to your discretion.

"Weekend celebrations"
We had a lovely stay at this hotel, there to celebrate our friends 60th birthday. The staff were attentive, especially Kemp who was very welcoming and informative. The room was comfortable, however were a little tired. Breakfast was lovely. All in all I would definitely recommend. Sarah and Paul

"Shrivelled up like prunes"
It’s 03:51 and 34c on the room thermostat, the windows don’t open the fan we’ve been given is pathetic. We’ve booked 3 rooms, no one can sleep, and that seems to be most of the hotel not just us. It’s absolutely stifling in here. I’m trying to take my mind off it by writing this review.
‘Rest easy’
‘Everything’s premier but the price’
Both lies, whoever dreamt up those slogans has clearly never spent a night in this pit.
