    "Homely, welcoming and comfortable."
Homely, welcoming and comfortable, All staff very friendly and professional, Leon and Darren especially... Their new Social for breakfasts, drinks and evening meals, very relaxing and lends well to communicate with others staying at the Premiere Inn... Thank you Premier Inn...
    "Such a shame"
So much could have been better. This stay has damaged my whole view on the premier inn brand. I have for many a year spoken favourably of all my stays. This one was a disappointment and will certainly make me think twice staying at any of the hotels again. I will certainly be avoiding using this one specifically. The room was disappointing. The shower just need a good deep clean. Limescale evident in all locations. Holes in the tiles around the sink just need some simple silicone. The terrible toilet roll dispenser was empty. The coat rail was missing a hanging with an exposed screw. There was clearly a shelf missing from the unit. The TV had marks all over the screen. The bottle opener looked as if COVID started on it - I appreciate it’s probably just rust. Everything added up, just made me annoyed. I thought I would escape and just spend time relaxing. This was no better… The new social space was cramped, busy and not relaxing at all. The tables are too close together. While the decor is good, the space is just too small. I appreciate that the rooms do not have AC and it’s a budget hotel…just have something that recognises this. It would have been nice to have a fan in the room, a note letting me know fans could be requested, or just offer a WiFi upgrade by way of apology. Anything! As a result I had a terrible nights sleep. I did not find the usual premier inn bedding to offer any comfort at all. Poor from start to finish and on this occasion could not wait to leave. I got the impression this hotel is not cared for and gave the perception to me that it was given to new or trainee managers and team.

I wouldn’t say this place has anyone that has a background in hospitality, they have clearly got kids out of school to man the desk advising no help is available free, it all comes at a cost (here for 2:45pm - check in from 3pm - with a toddler = no can do even if the room was ready). Silly. I am sure once they can do it, all humans will be gone from this chain and will rely on computers only. Customer service horrible (but again he was a kid - what can you do).
"Welwyn Garden City Premier Inn - July"
Awful stay. Hottest day of the year and the air conditioning was down in all rooms. It was 28 degrees in our room all night. There was no warning of this or cancellation offer. Staffing levels are too low, couldn’t get service at the bar as the one person working was busy at reception checking people in. The beefeater is closed down and the new bar and eating experience is a ooor alternative
"Functional Hotel for our needs when attending a gig in London"
Decent hotel in a good location, the reception staff were great and we were able to check in very late. Also good free parking with a 15 minute walk to the nearest Railway Station direct to London via our destination, Finsbury Park. We did have a lack of fully working air-con for cooling on a hot day, the hotel had provided a fan and opened the windows slightly but, that made us able to hear the trains the next morning (but only from around 9am). Also there was only one bath towel between the two of us and missing items from our Tea/Coffee making (no spoon, no sugar, limited tea/coffee/milk).
