"Room was hotter than Satan’s bum crack"
On arrival at the hotel our first impression was police offices and security guards walking around taking statements and blocking entrance to the car park.
After reading previous reviews online I brought a tower fan with me. As we checked in, the girl on Reception laughed and said I would need it.
The corridors on the third floor smelt like a combination of cigarette smoke and fried food. Enough to make you wrinkle your nose.
When we walked into room 324 the heat hit you like walking into a sauna - it was easily 35-40 degrees.
There were 2 fans already in the room and adding our 3rd barely made a difference.
Others in our group were in room 326 next door which was still very hot but notably cooler than ours.
We went to a concert at Wembley so did not return to the hotel until around 1am. The room had not cooled down at all.
We didn’t get more than an hour or two of intermittent sleep due to the stifling temperatures in the room. I woke up sweating with the bed sheets soaked and feeling quite ill from dehydration and overheating.
We went for breakfast around 9.30 and all of the pastries and fruit were gone, and did not get refilled during the hour or so we were in the restaurant, and I had to ask for more milk to be brought out.
The entrance as you walk into the restaurant from reception smelt horrendous - like stagnant dirty water mixed with bleach.
All of the carpeted areas were dark with dirt and stuck to your shoes with every step. The tables that had been cleared had not been wiped and were sticky with had crumbs on.
I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me to.
Car parking was surprising cheap though.

"Fantastic"
Fantastic location for easy access to Wembley and London via a 15 minute walk to Watford underground station, we found that station a slightly quicker and easier walk. Plenty of parking at hotel, great price for parking near London. Very friendly professional staff, would definitely recommend

"Boiling and poorly run"
I’ve stayed in a lot of Premier Inns recently and this is the worst by some distance. The first - and perhaps most relevant this summer - is that the room was like an oven. It’s weird that the hotel has air conditioning but not the rooms. It was airless and smelled of smoke. The bed was ok but the pillows were lumpy.
The bar is a place of great sadness - a few scattered people with nowhere better to be.
The staff are largely absent but nice enough when you do see them. There are many better budget options in the area.

"Oven From Hell"
Went on the coolest day of the heatwave, and my room was so hot it wasn't viable as accommodation. The fact that there was no aircon as standard was both shocking and unacceptable. This type of heat is only going to increase, and they need to respond accordingly. Will never stay there until they do.
