"Not a good stay"
Have used this hotel on numerous occasions before with no issues however this time.wasnt good. Room 302 very clean, 2 fans tea and coffee as usual but the noise was terrible. It sounded as if a lorry was being unloaded all through the night. When I reported the next morning was told next time I wouldn't be put near the lifts so they must have had issues before, The reseraunt has really gone downhill, bar service while extremely pleasent people was not great. I ate at 6pm and the Gammon 5oz was more like 3oz and the next mornings breakfast cearal was already out loose in the plastic containers which weren't air tight. Breakfast the next morning was warm but as the plate warmer wasn't working breakfast was cold before you finished. Such a shame no idea why its gone downhill. Also security on in car park all day and night which makes you wonder as well.

"Chaotic"
Due to a change in plans I arrived early, so I called the reservations line to add early check in, was advised to contact the hotel direct, as I was close I decided to drive to the hotel to arrange early check, explained to the lady at the desk I was 4 hours early due to a last minute change of plans and since I was here I might as well check in early, I was a bit surprised to be told sorry you can't have early check in, we have 15 people waiting to do early check in, we are to busy. Wow, ok so sat in my car for 4 hours waiting for my room. Won't use this hotel again.

"Disappointing Stay — Basic Facilities Missing and Poor Value for Money"
Unfortunately, this stay was a real disappointment and did not provide the standard of hospitality or comfort we expected.
The room was extremely basic and felt as though the facilities had been reduced to the bare minimum. The mattress felt very old and was uncomfortable. There was no cupboard or adequate storage, no air conditioning, and, most surprisingly, no table or suitable surface near the electrical outlets. The plug points were underneath the TV, so we had to charge our phones and other equipment on the floor. These are basic practical facilities that we would expect to find in a hotel room.
The price was also surprisingly high for what was provided. For one night, we felt the room was absolutely not good value for money.
The night reception service was another issue. There appeared to be only one staff member working while several guests were making enquiries at the same time. He was clearly doing his best but was struggling to attend to everyone, and unfortunately this resulted in delays that affected our own experience as well. This seemed more like a staffing issue than a reflection of the individual staff member.
Overall, we were disappointed with both the facilities and the level of service for the price paid. The hotel could significantly improve the guest experience by providing basic room facilities and ensuring adequate staffing during busy periods.

"I wouldn’t stay here"
I’d avoid this place, I love premier inn usually however this was by far my worst experience with the company in numerous visits over a great number of years. The two main issues were lack of air con made the room very uncomfortable even on a day of about 18to 20 deg C (not excessively hot) . The temp within the room was unpleasant and uncomfortable felt like mid 20s. We were provided with two noisy fans which were not effective at cooling the room. I hardly slept! We were given a free breakfast due to this complaint but I’d have rather slept and the breakfast wasn’t very good either.
My biggest issue by far was the fact that my son could have electrocuted him self inadvertently through no fault of his own. He was trying to turn the reading light on and the switch had been Brocken or removed he stuck his finger through the hole left by the switch as he assumed this was some sort of button or sensor. A not unreasonable assumption from a 10 year old! Fortunately I spotted this and stopped him. But there was live wires there. I alerted this to the hotel staff who were apologetic.
All in all a nightmare stay. Staff were fine room was clean but other issues were a serious problem

"Average stay, Avoid the food!"
We booked the hotel due to us going to the Harry Potter tour.
The location of the hotel to the tour is good, around 15 minutes drive.
We arrived at the hotel late, the gentleman on reception was pleasant enough and checked us in quickly. He advised us to pay for parking outside on the machine which worked fine and charged £3.50 for 24hrs.
The hotel was relatively clean but the outside itself could do with a sweep and there were pint glasses half filled with beer mounted in top of the cigarette bin right outside reception. They were still there the next morning.
The room we booked was a family room, 211. It was a good size and clean. The beds are comfy but there was only 1 pillow each.
The bathroom was spotless and overall provided everything we needed for a budget 1 night stay.
I have to agree with other reviewers, even now when the weather has cooled the room was unbearably hot. They hold so much heat. We were provided a small bedside fan and a free standing fan but they made little difference and were noisy. Needless to say I didn’t get the best nights sleep. WiFi was also poor. Sound proofing was good.
Not reading the reviews before hand we made the error of having breakfast. I don’t know the relationship between Premier inn and Brewers Fayre but I know they’re shutting down. Due to this I think everyone’s given up. The food is poor, the restaurant was grim and dirty. The lady serving behind the bar was pleasant but you can tell they can’t be motivated working for somewhere that won’t exist in a few weeks. My 9 year old ate free so that was fine but the value for money wasn’t there. If you’re staying in the next couple of weeks go and find somewhere else to eat.
Overall the place is fine. This is budget accommodation and for the money I still think Premier Inn beats its rivals. I would likely stay again.
