Watford (Croxley Green) hotel

Had a good experience when I went to the bar at 7 p.m and had a lovely drink. Went for a nightcap at 10:10 and was told they were closed. Holiday Inn Express is open until 1 a.m. so can't understand the early closure here

we stayed here to do to bon Jovi concert, we booked an early check in as we wanted to leave the hotel early and on arrival the room was ready. it was so big and im loving the new look of the rooms. it was so much cheaper staying here and getting the train. We did not stay for dinner but we had breakfast the next morning and it was perfect, also hot food available, the staff were so friendly and the chef even came out and spoke to staff as more breakfast items were brought out. we will be staying here again and have told our friends to as well

Location was good for what we needed. Close to major roads and Watford town centre. Check-in was by self-service screen - took a few minutes to work out but ok in the end. (staff could be called to assist if required). Check-in is also possible by the App and a digital key or plastic credit card size one is an option. A Harvester restaurant was within walking distance (Google says 11mins - we did in 7mins) One of the lifts was out of service when we arrived but was back working in the morning. Car Park was controlled by very friendly security. A APNR pay system is in operation and was easy to use and pay. We found plenty of spaces both in front and behind the hotel. Entrance doors both at the front and rear. We did have a drink in the bar which was priced reasonably and a good choice. Hotel was clean and the bedroom was good, comfy bed. Shower was clean, hot and powerful. Room was step up for one person so had to go back to reception to obtain another set of towels - no questions asked. Tea and coffee maker in the room - stocked with a small supply of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and plastic cartons of milk. No air-conditioning. Window opened and they had two fans in the room. Noisey but one did the job. Check out - post the key in a box and walk away. Security was in the car park to let us out - so I presume its manned 24 hours. Would I stay here again - if in the area - yes.

Really nice hotel, restaurant atmosphere was lovely, rooms and beds comfy. Would recommend. Stayed here and at the watford central one due to being fully booked and can see why :)

Do not stay at this hotel the staff are so rude. They dont clean the rooms unless you ask reception. But the staff do not tell there custermers you have to do this. They accused me of smoking in my room but with no evidence. I have been here 4 nights i complaned on my first night about the toilet see photo below as mt evidence. Please take my advice ans dont have the horrible stay i have had.
