"Disgusting smelt of cannabis !"
We arrived late in the evening and were immediately disappointed to find that our room had clearly been “hot boxed” – the smell of cannabis was extremely strong and unpleasant. It was obvious the room hadn’t been properly checked before we arrived.
We asked to be moved and, after some delay, were told we could change rooms. However, we were then informed that our son (who is 14 but already 6ft 1) would have to sleep on a mattress on the floor, which is completely inappropriate. After some chaotic back-and-forth, staff eventually brought in a proper bed, but the room felt very cramped as a result.
The following day, the hallway also smelled strongly of weed. Staff repeatedly blamed builders, but regardless of the cause, housekeeping should be identifying and addressing this before guests arrive. Our original room had very obviously just been smoked in, which is unacceptable.
We also found the female receptionist to be quite rude and unhelpful during the situation.
To their credit, we were eventually given a 50% refund for our stay. We regularly use Premier Inn for convenient overnight stays due to our children’s sports commitments, but based on this experience, we would not recommend this particular location.

"Superb from start to finish"
From the greeting to the room followed by a meal in the Beefeater restaurant was absolutely perfect and will definitely come again.

"Disappointed Plus Room"
Stayed here for one night with my husband . Booked the Plus room because I thought this would be more comfortable for us (both in our late 60s) with more facilities. Room was clean and very big with a king size bed which was very comfortable. There was a huge empty space between the bed and the window which could have been used to make the room more comfortable, I would have expected at least two comfortable /easy chairs in the room , or a small sofa? in a Plus room , after all the room accommodates 2 adults. Having stayed in Standard rooms in other Premier Inns there has always been something to sit on for 2 people . Instead we had to take it in turns to sit on the pedestal chair provided at the 'desk work station/vanity area' whilst the other one of us sat on the bed. Staff on reception were pleasant and helpful with heating issues.
Didnt have the cooked breakfast though it looked OK. Chose the Continental which was a complete waste of money. No breakfast pastries except one type of sweet cake/bun. Terrible selection of cereals (mainly kids stuff) and the toasters did not toast (unless you had 15 minutes to wait !
Glad I was only staying one night and dont think I would stay again unless I could request a couple of chairs in the room and definatley would not waste money on the breakfast.

"Great Prem"
Everything a Prem should be. It is easy to find and has great parking. It has a Beef eater next door where the staff are so lovely. I was served by Samantha and she was very kind and helpful and went above and beyond.
My Prem room was fine and the reception staff were very friendly and positive. Great all round.
