"Mixed experience supported by good staff"
Good location being straight off the A1. Quiet but friendly atmosphere, good decor. Room was clean except for used tissues found under the sofa bed mattress. Shower a little tricky to set desired temperature. Good value and, although dinner menu showed good choices, the food itself was mostly pre-made standardised and portioned to a formula and price point. Would eat out next time. Breakfast good. As with most services, the choices and standard have fallen slightly over time due to market forces and keeping to a price. Staff excellent. Tara, Sharon and Jacqui were carrying out multiple roles in a friendly and efficient manner. The multi-tasking showed strain when busier with meals and booking in/out.

I stayed for work reasons and loved it it. We were looked after by Sharon , Kian and Alexia. Absolutely lovely people and very polite good service.

Just come back from another great stay here. When we go to see family and friends etc in stevenage we always stay here. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. At our stay we was mostly served by Sharon , Kian and lexi. Had a great night's sleep. Food was good. And when in the bar was asking Sharon and Kian about cocktails and they knocked us up a sex on the beach which was lovely. Would recommend book for breakfast at the weekend and can also take the drinks from the bar up to your room. Nothing was to much for the staff always a welcome and a hello , how was your day etc. The staff make the hotel

Being local to us we had a walk in breakfast experience served by Jacqui who was very welcoming to our family of five. It was a peaceful atmosphere and fantastic fresh continental breakfast and full English. Service was excellent. Thank you for having us

Fantastic breakfast experience - first class service from Jacqui who went above and beyond to cater for an allergy (coeliac). Food cooked separately, cutlery and utensils provided straight from the dishwasher so no contact with buffet allergens, and all done with a smile. A comfortable, relaxed experience which is often not the case with an allergy - very impressed.
