Stevenage Central hotel

In terms of the warmth, friendliness and kindliness of hotel staff, this Premier Inn tops the lot! Special shout out to Lianne and Terri - absolutely lovely people. They gave us a chocolate on arrival (never had that at any Premier Inn, or most hotels I've stayed at for that matter), the warmest of welcomes, and were incredibly helpful throughout the stay. The location of this hotel is really handy, being only 10 minutes walk to Stevenage station (safe in daylight but not advised late at night, thank you Lianne for the recommendation to get a taxi back on my return from London - sound advice!), the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable (and my room even had a bath - yay! That was an unexpected bonus in my eyes). It was excellent value and, while you generally know what you're getting with Premier Inn, they can still vary in many ways. This was one of the best I've stayed in (and I stay at A LOT of Premier Inns!) - and that's predominantly down to the wonderful staff who are a credit to Premier Inn. It's so handy for London (and for heading north as I did the next day), it will be my first choice in the future when booking a great value, reliable hotel commutable to London. I had a wonderful stay and wanted to give special recognition to the fantastic staff who made the experience so enjoyable. The receptionists were exceptional from the moment I arrived. They were welcoming, professional, and incredibly accommodating, always happy to help with any questions or requests. Their friendly attitude made me feel valued throughout my stay. I’d also like to give a special mention to Taylor and Sarah from the bar. They were both outstanding, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere every time I visited. Their excellent customer service and positive personalities really stood out and made my stay even more memorable. Thank you to the whole team for such a great experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and genuinely caring staff.

The staff, especially Lisa, made me feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to make me feel at home.

Room was ok, location was what I needed, but the service from Sarah, Lexi, and Taylor was absolutely first class. It was a particularly busy night with the football on and a huge number of people in the restaurant, but they handled it all incredibly well. Can't fault them at all. They made what could easily have been a terrible evening into a great one. The three of them are absolute credits to the company. Thank you

Went here with family, rooms ok, staff hardworking, looks scruffy from the outside, bar and restaurant a complete joke, bar red hot no air conditioning working, morning breakfast was more like fawlty towers, booked a table for 9 am no table had to wait, breakfast was the same no food had to wait, they were brining it out willy nilly, sausages would come out the 5 mins later bacon would arrive and so on, the hotel is totally understaffed but the staff they have were great.
