Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Good food. What more do you need? A very enjoyable experience.

This hotel looks dreary from the outside, but inside is being refurbished. Although it is being refurbished our room was in the middle of what I can only describe as a 'bombsite' uneven floors, boxes left in the corridor by the workmen, loud music from their radio, workmen shouting from one room to another to each other. The food was not even mediocre, Premier inn have provided cheap uneatable food for the staff to try and make look presentable let alone eatable. The dining room was cramped and un comfortable, and poorly lit. This is not the usual standard of Premier inn, will this improve?

This was our second stay at this hotel and we didn’t book breakfast or evening meal as the options previously were poor. Unfortunately there are now some serious problems with damp in the rooms. We asked to be moved twice. The first room had visible damp patches above the window, and the wall heater didn’t work. We were given a second room that was worse. There was a rancid smell from the wall behind the drawer unit and we again asked to move. The duty manager was extremely helpful and managed to find another room which thankfully was ok if very tired. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. The negative was the noisy generator outside. The hotel is being refurbished, it should close until rooms are fit for purpose

Rooms very dirty, run down. The most annoying part was the breakfast, encouraged to pay £10.99 for UNLIMITED English breakfast, advertising that the breakfasts are available until 11am however at 10.30am they decide to stop cooking? So left overs only and when we requested some fresh food they looked at us as if we had two heads !!!!
