"Good for the budget and nice hotel"
Overall a good experience at the hotel, bit too hot at the top of the lifts/stairs, room was very nice and clean, bit low on the shower gel but only thing that I could be picky about lol

Will, Susant and Barry,(alias Michael), were very pleasant and friendly. Reception staff were the same . Beds comfortable and clean room. We enjoyed our stay.

I was new to Winchester and decided to stay at the Premier Inn, I am pleased that I did. The staff were wonderful and looked after me very well. Nothing was too much bother. Also getting to the centre was easy if you wanted to walk, I took at Taxi which was on time and got there very quicky and was very affordable. I am going to stay there again if and when I go back to Winchester. My only issues were the vegetarian breakfast not enough choice for me but I hope moving forward they will look at that. Also if you do not purchase the Premium Wi-fi the normal one is not that good. Both very minor issues but none the less could be easily remedied
"Lovely area, but put off staying again."
Nice quiet area. Not the first Premier Inn having stayed in so had a certain expectation of what to expect. Check in was easy and quick. Disappointed in the family room, stains on the carpet and bathroom could have done with a deep clean - grout was dirty/stained. Booked in for evening meal and had to wait well over an hour for food, as did other customers and it wasn’t full up or particularly busy. No explanation or warning of delay. Waitress was kind enough to give us some drinks for free as looked embarrassed. Food was nice enough when came, and breakfast food was good too.
"Not the best experience."
I paid for an early check in, but I was made to wait for over 25 minutes where I had to prove I had actually paid for it after being told check in isn’t until 3pm. I then had to wait just as long to get a room key. The breakfast was fantastic, but the service at reception wasn’t good at all. There was also no one else at reception and the restaurant wasn’t open, so there was no excuse of being busy or short staffed. Everytime you go to reception you have to ring a bell, and wait a few minutes for someone to arrive, even if you only left a few second ago. I had to go to reception 3 times during check in, so this was very frustrating. The parking is separate from the hotel, so when I was told I would receive a refund in an email due to the parking charge increasing after I had already booked, the reception told me that they don’t have the ability to do this as the parking is separate from the hotel.
