"Be aware of very poor disability room"
We were shown to an accessible room, and initially thought that someone had been smoking in there, but were told its was the only one available. We immediately left our things and went out into Portsmouth for the afternoon/evening.
Came back about 10pm and the room stank, was very musty, evidently it had not been used or aired and it was also very cold. The room heater kept switching off, the instructions left in the room did not match the controller in the room. The lack of heating in the bathroom, (not even a heated towel rain) also resulted in a constant cold draft into the room. Reported the issues to the staff member the following morning who could not have cared less.
The first thing we had to do when we reached our destination was to wash the clothes that we had in the room, to get rid of the smell.
Very disappointed to not only to be given such a room, but also with the staff members attitude.

"Portsmouth 26"
Location excellent. On Seafront easy walking distance to Old Portsmouth and a little further to Gunwharf Quays and the Historic Dockyard. 100 yards from the hovercraft terminal for the Isle of Wight and D-day museum about 15 min walk down the promenade.
Starting to get a bit tired and needs upgrading. Room has no plug socket near bed and USB charging points were both broken.
Parking under the hotel is £7 per night, but quite narrow entrance and exit.
Brewers Fayre next door has children's indoor play area etc. Food okay, recommend eating out in the evening.

"Friendly & helpful reception staff"
We had a great one night stay here. Clean room, comfortable bed and a lovely hot shower. Breakfast was good value. Reception staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

"80th birthday"
The staff in the Premier Inn and the adjoining pub/restaurant were second to none! Very approachable and helpful throughout our weekend stay. It’s our second visit and we are already planning a third! Thank you

"Freezing cold bedroom - heating was not working and no blankets on offer."
Freezing cold bedroom. The heating control panel didn't work despite our efforts to turn the heating up. I ended up sleeping in my coat and woolly hat and had a very hot bath the next moring to warm me up. When we complained to the Receptionist she was all smiles and said they had recently had an upgrade to the heating control panels but they were not working. She did eventually apologise but that was as we were leaving. We have stayed previously but will not go back again and feel very disappointed with this particular hotel and the bad experience. If you have already booked I would suggest you take blankets and a hot water bottle.
