"Could do better"
NO breakfast, as restaurant was being updated and no alternative as promised on website. Hairdryer was broken, aircon didnt work correctly and the hand-wash was mixed up with the shampoo container. On the plus side. The staff were excellent and the area is amazing plus as usual a brilliant sleep

"Overnight stay at premier inn Southsea"
Stayed for 1 night. Despite being next to funfair we were opposite end of the building so not bothered by it. Having read about the lift being small I was concerned however it takes 8 people so two of us with cases and bags still left space. As their restaurant is closed for refurbishment a complimentary breakfast is laid out in reception area for you to take to your room. Cereals fruit juice porridge pot pastries. We were overlooking a road facing a building site. Road very noisy with motorbikes and people going home I guess, but fell asleep and woke about 1 am to total quietness and not aware of any traffic until gone 7. Building work didn’t start until around 7.45.
There is a restaurant at the back corner of the building where we had dinner. Varied menu but mainly fish and chips . I had steak and ale pie which was very nice . Pappas I think it was called . We arrived at premier inn at 4.20 pm and had no problem parking in disabled space at the front. There is a machine in reception where you pay for parking . Disabled pay too. £7 per day. You need your car registration with you . Hotel was clean and comfortable and staff friendly and helpful .

"Short summer stay"
Location is exactly what we needed for our few days stay. We couldn’t hear the funfair or the crowds.
The staff were lovely and friendly, beds were comfy and the facilities were adequate. It is a shame there wasn’t a hot breakfast option or restaurant attached. But pastries, tea/coffee, porridge and cereal were available to grab and go.
The only downside was that our room was on the 1st floor. The first night we were woken by the people in the room above. It sounded as though there were elephants coming through the ceiling. We spoke to reception who apologised; we know it isn’t their fault, and they explained those people had checked out. However, second morning was worse. My husband recorded the sound because they were running across the floor, bedding on beds and again sounded like they were coming through the floor. This ruined our stay because our young children were woken earlier than normal.

"Rooms are looking very distressed"
We stayed 3 nights, having stayed a few times previously.
The bar and restaurant are closed for renovation but this was compensated with a complementary breakfast.
The room was looking distressed and old and in need of renovation. The double glazing had blown its seal and had condensation throughout making it difficult to look though the widow, this is probably a good thing because the window overlooks a work sight dedicated to the reclamation of the seafront.
The bathroom extractor fan wasn't working, it had been sawn half so that it would fit and had signs of mold building up around it.
The crome of the bath/shower funiture was showing signs of corrosion and the crome plating flaking off it. The bath cauking had mold and skirting boards needed repainting. Even though 2 people were staying in the room, only one full length towel was provided. Finally the air-conditioning made a excessive noise making it difficult to sleep but small mercys it was working.
At £360 for 3 nights i was expecting more.
