Southsea hotel

24 HR reception very much appreciated. Slept well. Great location. Great price. Nice rooms. Comfy size . Right next to hovercraft ferry

Great location, next door to the IOW hovercraft and buses into Portsmouth Centre, great walks either into the city or along the front to the D Day Museum and beyond, funfair, places to eat and amusement arcades. Lovely clean room again, very helpful and friendly staff. A great place to stay.

This is a fabulously located hotel. But it is in desperate need of some TLC. The bed, as always, was comfy. The room pleasant. The bath/shower needed a good clean and if you are short like me then it is a climb to get in and out of. The toilet seat needs replacing. There were creaky floor boards. The restaurant was basic - but the food was ok. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful but they were obviously under staffed. The car park £7 per day was paid as you arrived - spaces were limited in number and size. The room above us had a heavy footed guest who spent several hours walking up and down the room - noisy and intrusive. No one on reception interested. Would we come back? Possibly

Reception were excellent on arrival, however it went downhill quite quickly. First impressions, the hotel is looking quite rundown, the parking area looked like a dumping ground, with old chairs in the area, leaking pipes overhead and pigeons making a mess all over cars. The meals in the attached Brewers Fayre were both pretty bad, meals were cold both evening and breakfast. Breakfast was congealed and pretty bad. The staff in the Brewers Fayre seemed to be totally disinterested, with one member being quite condescending, and looked like he was with a visiting darts team judging by his shirt.

We love Southsea premier inn the staff are always very friendly the premier plus rooms are awesome it's close to the beach we have stayed many times over the years and highly recommended for a quiet short break WiFi is brilliant also.
