Southampton West hotel

Breakfast was superb! Well done to their manager Ali, Elena and Chef Jade!

Easy to find if the motorway Building inside and out could do with a bit of T & C Room was okay but dated but clean Reception staff meet and greet was average not very upbeat and welcoming Asked about the pub next door and if you need to book but basically was told it’s not connected to premium inn so not sure !! really ! I worked that one out myself ! Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice and the staff member in there was welcoming and pleasant sadly some guests think it’s okay to wear nightwear whilst eating , grown men !! This was mentioned to reception but unfortunately they have no policy to enforce people to be dressed appropriately , so maybe next time I’ll just wear my underwear ! Children were also left to help themselves to whatever, which if they are older I can understand but smaller children will just pick up and touch anything in sight so just putting it back for other guests to pick up

Where i stay in premier inn as much as possible and tend not to look elsewhere this one has fallen well short of expectations. If there was a hotel that required an update this is the one. Very very tired, worn, stained and dirty including inside the room. See pictures. I will say check in was quick and easy although antiquated and analogue type. No tech here. Also, it was usual premier inn quiet. I'll not go into attached restaurant/bar it's a means only. The Vine which is a Hungry Horse. Don't expect a new updated premier inn.

Staff on check in zero manners and clearly never wanted to be there, rubbish still in bin from previous guest and room has been battered ( needs refurbish) Breakfast staff very polite and friendly & food was really good .

The hotel is very old and dated and in desperate need of upgrading. The hotel room was not clean. There were beard trimmings all over the bathroom I couldn’t put any of my toiletries on the side. The bedding was stained and dirty with something unpleasant stuck to the quilt. I had to lay without a quilt as we arrived late and couldn’t change it due to children being asleep. The carpet was almost sticky like where it was so old and dirty, we all kept our shoes on when walking around. The breakfast was ok, but not the biggest selection and the fruit and yoghurt station was very unappealing. We couldn’t wait to get out of there!
