Southampton North hotel

They decided that there should be no air conditioning anymore and it is one of the hottest days of the year,my room is officially 32 degrees and all the fans do is blow around hot air. absolutely cannot stick the heat

We arrived at 1.30pm on an extremely hot day and paid an extra £15.00 for an early check in. The member of staff who greeted us was friendly and helpful. He took my case up a couple of flights of stairs. The room was as others have mentioned like a sauna. There was a fan in the room blowing warm air about. We had an evening meal booked in the restaurant which we enjoyed and found to be good value as part of the meal deal. Breakfast in the morning was absolutely fine. We were glad to check out after such an uncomfortable night Air conditioning should be bought in to make sure people who pay quite high rates don't have to suffer like we did.

The reception staff were friendly and the staff at the restaurant were helpful and chatty. The issue was the temperature in the room. There was a small fan which just blew hot air around. The extractor fan in the bathroom was broken, we had several cold showers throughout the night to try and cool ourselves down but the bathroom just got hotter and hotter. Even though we were on the ground floor (so no risk of us jumping out the window) it would only open a couple of inches which offered no relief from the heat. When we left the following morning, it was actually cooler outside. We paid a lot of money and hardly slept at all. Would NOT recommend at all. We won't be using this premier inn again

This is the worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed in. Yes, the car park was large and the staff on reception were friendly and did their best to placate angry guests. Yes we went on an extremely hot day and we were aware there was no aircon, but it wasn't unexpected weather,so we could not believe there were insufficient fans for all guests to have one. There was nothing offered as a goodwill gesture, no ice, no cold bottles of water even. The room was 32 degrees throughout the night despite our efforts to keep it cool. We were boiled alive and could not wait to get out in the morning as we literally had no sleep. Very disappointed and would never recommend this hotel. Come on Premier Inn you need to sort this...totally unacceptable and we had two rooms at £131.99 each and it was like torture in both rooms!

Awful. Room was unbearably sweltering with just one small fan. Temperature control had batteries taken out so we couldnt use it. No ventilation in the building and the windows opened just an inch. Just awful.
