"Stopover on way to cruise"
Great place to stay if you’re going on a cruise. Staff very friendly and willing to help. Will definitely be back. Had an accessible room and there was plenty of room to manoeuvre wheelchair.
"Enjoy our stay."
Could not fault the hotel and the Beefeater ,stayed over night before driving to the cruise terminal. The staff were friendly and polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend this Premier inn. PS we stayed there on the hottest day of the year,no problems.
"a worthy premier inn stay"
The rooms were very quiet , the staff very attentive and the whole experience was fantastic food at Beefeater was fantastic
"Too hot to sleep"
The hotel itself is nice enough, well located just outside Southampton and have found the staff to be nice and friendly. The onsite pub is great as well. However, the rooms are like saunas. When we stayed the outside temp couldn’t have been any higher than 18, but the rooms were still hot. Somewhat defeats the purpose of staying in a hotel if you can’t sleep! The room had a fan in it, but unless you sit within a couple of inches you can’t really feel the benefit.
"Hot, stuffy, small. Not worth it."
We stayed in a family room (my husband and I, plus our two children who are six and three). The room was not big enough for the four of us. Once the beds were all up, there was no room between them at all - so pretty much as if you were all sleeping in a row in one big bed. The room was extremely hot and stuffy, around 28-30 degrees, even though the heating was off and outside temperature was more like 18-20. There was no aircon, only two large, noisy fans that were kicking out more heat to function than they were helping to circulate the air. The window couldn't be opened more than a crack due to security reasons, so there was zero air in there. And to make matters worse, the bathroom extractor fan didn't work, so as soon as you had a shower this added to the heat and humidity in the room. Before we checked-out I also noticed that the bulb in the lamp on the desk was broken which could have been quite dangerous. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this as a place to stay for young families.
