"Super stay in another great Premmie"
Just stayed overnight before getting to the cruise terminal next day. Chose this hotel as it had ample parking and sensibly priced rooms for a short stay in Southampton. We got uber taxis to go in and out of town 10 minutes ride to our booked restaurant in the centre. Breakfast in the adjacent Beefeater was good quality, cereals, juices, toast, cooked breakfast very nice. Our Premier plus rooms ( worth paying a little extra if you can) were clean, airconned and quiet at the rear of the main building. Coffee and water provided and nice smelling toiletries available in the spacious bathroom. 20/25 min drive to cruise terminal. Fabulous start to our trip, thanks

"OK for a 1 night stay over"
Rooms are clean enough although there is no air con. When we visited it was a very hot day, there was a decent fan in the room although this just blew warm air back at us. There is no lift in this particular Premier Inn either so if you are staying over for a cruise bear in mind you may have to drag your suitcases upstairs if you are given a room on the second floor. Luckily we were given a room on the ground floor so that was not an issue.

They decided that there should be no air conditioning anymore and it is one of the hottest days of the year,my room is officially 32 degrees and all the fans do is blow around hot air. absolutely cannot stick the heat

We arrived at 1.30pm on an extremely hot day and paid an extra £15.00 for an early check in. The member of staff who greeted us was friendly and helpful. He took my case up a couple of flights of stairs.
The room was as others have mentioned like a sauna. There was a fan in the room blowing warm air about.
We had an evening meal booked in the restaurant which we enjoyed and found to be good value as part of the meal deal.
Breakfast in the morning was absolutely fine.
We were glad to check out after such an uncomfortable night
Air conditioning should be bought in to make sure people who pay quite high rates don't have to suffer like we did.

The reception staff were friendly and the staff at the restaurant were helpful and chatty.
The issue was the temperature in the room.
There was a small fan which just blew hot air around. The extractor fan in the bathroom was broken, we had several cold showers throughout the night to try and cool ourselves down but the bathroom just got hotter and hotter. Even though we were on the ground floor (so no risk of us jumping out the window) it would only open a couple of inches which offered no relief from the heat.
When we left the following morning, it was actually cooler outside.
We paid a lot of money and hardly slept at all.
Would NOT recommend at all. We won't be using this premier inn again
