Southampton (Eastleigh) hotel

Avoid this branch of Premier Inn if you plan on eating or want a beer. Restaurant and bar facilities are appalling. Everything else is OK.

Alas, we will not be staying here again. Whilst the bedroom area was clean, the bathroom had been forgotten and we only had one set of towels. We arrived late on the 25th and the young man on reception was very helpful. Breakfast was appalling. When we arrived there were 2 young ladies trying to a accommodate everyone. Then after a short time only one young lady. The continental area kept running out of bread, pastries, juice, yoghurt & fruit. As well as plates and bowls. The coffee area had no mugs and we waited over half an hour for our cooked breakfast. The poor young lady was trying her best to seat people, take orders, replenish everything and bring out breakfasts. Was there a duty manager, who knows! You CANNOT run a business like this. So many people were complaining and wanted to get up and help the young lady. Seriously, you have to have more people on the restaurant floor and a front of house.

Ideal place to stay if doing a cruise. Bed really comfortable. Room was hot had to use the air con. Didn't like the step when getting out of the shower as I forgot it was there and it isn't a small drop Restaurant doesn't open till 5pm So if you want that 1st holiday drink you will have to wait. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Darren was amazing and went over and beyond to accommodate my allergies and totally understood. Thank you.Food was lovely too. Well breakfast thats a different story. Firstly felt sorry for the 1 girl dealing with all the customers. At one point she was dealing with at least 9 tables also trying to restock the cereals bread fruit ect and take orders. Sausages and poached eggs were lovely. Bacon and mushrooms were awful. Husband said hash brown was very greasy. They could improve on the toilet paper it was very thin and very cheap quality.

We had a room above the entrance and had to close the window as people where smoking outside When we asked at reception we were told know one has ever complained about the smoke going into their rooms Seeing the amount of food left on the plates at Breakfast we should of gone somewhere else but for convenience we tried to have a cooked breakfast but it was just warm , over cooked and tasted reheated When we spoke to the manager she again said no-one had complained Although there were several people queuing up to speak to her about the disappointment of this Premier Inn It definitely needs some one from head office to pay them a visit to see how badly this Is being managed

Noisy room. Too close to traffic. AC was extremely noisy to the point we could sleep. Dinner was overcooked cooked. Not a good start to our holiday.
