"Poor experience"
Poor experience because the Table Table is closing and the staff are being made redundant.
The bar closed before 10pm each night and the menu was limited on an A4 sheet due to lack of staff and what was there was cooked poorly. I feel sorry for the staff in a difficult situation and blame it entirely on the management. We had w nights there and went down the road to a local pub for the 2nd night.
We only ate there on the 1st night because of a 6 hour drive and a late arrival

"Not impressed"
We arrived after a long journey, at the hotel around 2.15pm, we had arranged to meet our friends who were also staying for the weekend in the bar/restaurant. We were immediately greeted by a member of staff who told us curtly that we could not check in until 3pm unless we had paid a premium. Our two night stay including breakfast was over £425 which was more than we have ever paid to stay in Premier Inn and we’ve stayed in many all over the country.
We asked where the bar was so we could wait for our friend and were told it would not be open until 5pm due to staff shortage and the restaurant was also closed!! The main reason we use Premier Inns is because they all have bars and restaurants linked to them, so this was very disappointing especially since the cost was so high, we found the bar and restaurant was also closed on the Saturday as well.
We returned from our evening out before 10.30pm expecting to have a nightcap with our friends, we were shocked and disappointed to find the bar shuts at 10pm, again we have never encountered this in other Premier Inns we’ve stayed in.
The following morning we checked that our rooms would be serviced and had this confirmed giving our room number to a member of staff, however when we returned later that afternoon our room had not been touched, after we complained our rooms was freshened up to a fashion.
The restaurant staff for breakfast were pleasant and helpful but the restaurant itself needed some attention, the hot water for tea was not working so you had to go behind the bar for water, the carpet was sticky and needed a good clean and in general was tired looking.
We have complained to Premier Inn regarding the cost of our two night stay and amenities not being available which impacted on what should have been a lovely weekend with our friends. They have not been helpful at all and offered no compensation of any kind, we will now look for alternative hotels and will never use Premier Inns again.

"Excellent Service"
Excellent customer service from Morgan. Prior to our stay we were telephoned to say that due to circumstances beyond their control evening meal was no possible, we were given a list of recommendations which turned out lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for Morgan. The air con was already on in our room which was greatly appreciated on what may be the hottest day in the year (so far). We requested some ice and Morgan sorted this out. The service has always been lovely here hence why we come back, because of the service. Thank you Morgan for the brilliant service, much appreciated.

"OK for an overnight stay don't bother with food"
Hotel itself is ok, attached restaurant is dreadful.
Room was comfy, good extras and quite clean
Had full DBB package but dining room full up so did not have dinner, did not know you had to book a table and time
Breakfast was ok, buffet was standard but cooked food was pretty poor, watery scrambled eggs and strange tasting bacon

"Comfy basic rooms, staff need training in customer service better"
room ok, bed comfy, great location for Southampton sailing. Check in took far too long - 1 person booking people in and the queue had 5 or 6 people waiting.Customer service in bar area poor. No smile, no greeting.
Man behind bar was very unfriendly, miserable and quite rude. We sat outside and there was loads of empty glasses on the tables, so as i went to be served i took a handful to the bar. I joked with him 'im doing your job bringing glasses in',he gave me a filthy look. Only a handful of people in bar area, he never came out and collected the rest of the dirty glasses, so i ended up taking them all in every time i went to the bar to be served! Couple of times he wasnt behind the bar and i had to wait, then shout for him and he came out of a door which i presumed to be the kitchen or office?
Next morning at breakfast a lovely lady who i presumed to be a manager was running about doing everything from seating, clearing tables, bringing out the food, she was super polite and friendly even though she was extremely busy. She was worth her weight in gold. Good choice of food for breakfast.
Food in the evening wasnt anything great and pricey for the quality.
On checking out, cleaner was on our corridor sat on a bed doing something on her phone, not very professional.
