"Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in"
Premier inn Southampton City Centre. Dirty cold room. Window wouldn’t close. Beside busy railway line. Skirtings, chair in room were filthy and shabby. Kettle didn’t work and only heating was an electric plug in radiator. Complained and took 3 attempts to get the new room door open. Again this room was shabby. Took staff 5 minutes to get window closed. We then found twigs both under and in the bed. Complaint was ignored. During our stay only one lift. Took over 20 mins to stop at our floor. No one at reception to lodge complain. Emailed hotel when we got home and their response was sorry and hoped we’d come back. Never again. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or customer service to my worst enemy

"Good stay"
Great receptionist.. I wish I knew her name.
Good stay for a budget hotel.
Car parking is limited, alternative is close by but accessed via a subway which isn’t the nicest.

"Avoid in summer"
We stayed at the Premier Inn Southampton City Centre during what turned out to be the hottest week of the year, and unfortunately the experience was really disappointing from start to finish.
Before arriving, we specifically called to ask about adjoining rooms as we were travelling with a young family. At no point were we told the hotel doesn’t actually have adjoining rooms available. Instead, we were split across two separate rooms that weren’t even opposite each other, which was stressful and inconvenient with children.
The rooms themselves were in poor condition. Furniture was peeling and damaged, bedside lights were broken, and the hair dryer didn’t work at all. It honestly felt very run down and not properly maintained. I’ve attached photos because the condition speaks for itself.
To make matters worse, there was no air conditioning during an extremely hot weekend, making the rooms unbearably uncomfortable, especially for children trying to sleep.
The hotel also only seemed to have one working lift for a 6-floor building, which meant long waits constantly and overcrowding.
Overall, this stay fell far below what we expected from Premier Inn. Poor communication before arrival, uncomfortable rooms, maintenance issues, and lack of basic facilities made this a very frustrating family stay.
The staff were nice but unable to help with any problems.
Breakfast was paid for and the best experience we had.
