"Air conditioner not working but nice staff"
Stayed in Premiere Inn on 26/06/26 for overnight stay and it was good, only complaint was the air conditioning was not working and it was uncomfortable but staff were nice especially James the barman who was very pleasant and had lots of time to chat to my grandchildren. Nice guy

"Worst Premier Inn experience yet"
Really really poor. Food was terrible, rooms are too hot (aircon used to be fitted but has been replaced by a £10 fan), car park is tiny and staff think it's fine to block customer cars in the tiny car park.

"The hotel needs updating- chipped paint on walls, bird crap on windows, stains on carpet, peeling veneer on furniture."
City centre - Hotel staff very friendly and helpful- especially Kasia is the dining room. Convenient location for cruise out of Southampton. Disappointed in condition of the room.

"Not up to standards!"
Our cruise planner recommended this PI over the other one in SH to stay at before our cruise. There was a heat wave which was unusual. However, the hotel has intentionally disabled the AC in all the guest rooms and hallways with exception of the lobby and 5th floor restaurant/bar. Basically they have AC in spaces the staff work!! Sounds like an OSHA safety compliance thing!
Our 5th floor room was so hot despite the two fans that were provided. The bed, that was advertised to be comfortable, was not. There is no room clean up service during the stay. And the window only opened 3 inches and when we did have it opened we were invaded by wasps and bees looking for a cooler place to be.
The room had stains on the walls and mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. This place needs an overhaul and some TLC. We found out from another couple we ran into walking around town who was staying at the other PI that their lodging had AC in their guest rooms.
Yes, we were informed about the AC situation when we checked in and there was signage everywhere about it. However there is nothing on their website about no AC in the guest rooms so guest can make an informed decision prior to booking. Shame on you PI!
I’m giving PI 2 stars for the this review. You should know that the Team Members are stellar and they shouldn’t have to work in these conditions. They have such heart and passion! They deserve 5 stars for their work ethic, positivity, and excellent performance! The building and facilities get a big 0 stars!!!

"Hot in the room"
The hotel currently lacks air conditioning in its rooms. All electrical outlets are occupied by fans, making it difficult to charge your devices. Moreover, the windows are open, allowing the noise from the street to intrude into the room. This crucial information is not clearly communicated on the hotel’s website, leaving guests unaware of the absence of air conditioning in their rooms.
