Another fantastic experience with the premier inn down new road Southampton
Had a busy morning this morning and was running a little late but Kasia and Denisa in the restaurant was brilliant by ensuring I could still take advantage of breakfast and coffee to go
Thank you ladies always very friendly and welcoming to both them and the rest of the team both in the restaurant, the reception and rest of the hotel

Room was filthy dirty, breakfast was awful. Room key stopped working and had to wait ages to try and find a member of staff for help during the evening

The hotel is really nice..lovely lady who was very helpful upon arrival..The food and service for the evening meal was shocking..it was not busy ( no surprise there ) and we waited over 30 minutes for each course..When we ordered the meal the girl told us that the children's meals were free, as we were ordering an adults meal..we asked if that included the drink and desert and was told yes...when we came to pay we were charged for these..My daughter ordered the spaghetti bolognaise which was awful..I ordered the curry which was supposed to have mango chutney with the poppadom.. it came without this..I had to ask where it was to be told they had ran out of it..no apology , would have been nice to have been told this when placing my order
.Not happy at all. Will never eat here again .

"A great location, reasonably priced hotel in Southampton with the usual great breakfast you get in a Premier Inn."
I'm almost afraid to recommend this hotel especially when a cruise ship is due for departure since it appears other hotels increase their price for this reason to capture those going on a cruise. This hotel was very reasonable and ideally located for the cruise lines and shopping in nearby shopping centres.

"Disappointing for a Premier Inn"
Premier Inn should always reflect consistency, which mostly it does however I was disappointed with the Southampton PI. The corridors were dirty and shabby at best, scuffed and paint banged off through usage. The room was tired and felt dirty, I didn't want to use bare feet in any part of it. The bathroom was much the same. I'm not saying that it doesn't get cleaned, but it really is run down and sad.
