"Premier Inn city centre 14th September 2026"
Firstly want to say, the staff were so nice and friendly, the restaurant was very nice, really good food both nights, staff in restaurant very accommodating and friendly, rooms very clean, we paid a good price for two nights .. however, we could never stay here again for the sheer fact that the rooms get unbearably warm/hot, we were provided with three fans, but they were just circulating warm air, even though evenings it was cold outside the window offered no help as we couldn’t open it fully, we couldn’t get ready in the mornings sweat would just be dripping off you, had to shower bath my kids before bed in cool water as they were just dripping and clammy, such a shame because it’s a lovely hotel right in the centre, I read reviews after our stay, all saying the same thing and that they got rid of their air-con, I think that was a big mistake, i will be sure to check future hotels that state they have air con for this reason!

"The staff make all the difference"
I had a 1 night pre-cruise stay here during a heatwave and found the in-room fans and window ventilation made a very warm room manageable. I noted the bathroom skirting boards were badly warped and stained, but otherwise everything else was perfectly fine with my room. The Reception staff who checked me in and stored my luggage were very friendly and helpful. Likewise the young lady from Housekeeping who I spoke to was very pleasant. The biggest shout out goes to the restaurant staff at both dinner and breakfast. Very efficient, proactive and chatty. All down to the young lady duty supervisor's leadership skills and customer focus. Hands down this is the most efficiently run Premier Inn evening meal service I've ever encountered. Guests will make their life easier and help staff by booking their dinner table in advance. The hotel is a short taxi journey from both the Central railway station and the cruise embarkation points. West Quay shopping area is within a pleasant walk.

"Worst Hotel - AVOID"
Avoid. Dirty smelly and incredibly hot. Staff know there is a problem but on complaints to head office, they said I’d never complained about the heat. Avoid at all costs. They don’t care at all
