The Social has a menu to match whenever hunger strikes (not forgetting the little ones too) with food and drink on offer throughout the day. You’ll even be sorted late into the evening with our late night, light bites menu. There’s also a bar full of lip-smacking drinks with amazing offers like 2 for 1 on cocktails from 5pm. Checking in has been made even easier too. When you arrive for your hotel stay, simply scan your QR code at a check-in kiosk, pay using your payment card if you haven’t already pre-paid online and pick up your room key. No faff – it’s as simple as that.

"6* for Anthony"
I’ve stayed in many PI over the years, & they can be very noisy. After several hours of hearing the sponsored walker pounding the floor, along with a constant bump, I’d had enough & asked for a room change. I explained rather now than have me come down in the night to claim my money back due to not having a good night sleep. I was told it wouldn’t harm them in the slightest 😮 almost like I could do whatever I liked & she didn’t care! They claimed to be fully booked, & said that they couldn’t do anything about it anyway & said to contact customer relations. My choice would’ve been the ibis with the harbour view (MEOW), but MrDW wanted the PI as they usually have a bath for his aching limbs, but there was no bath in the room this time! So we got off to a pretty bad start. A few hours later we were back at the PI to have dinner, I was still moany & didn’t fancy anything. But we were very fortunate to have the lovely Anthony serving us our delicious meal & drink. The man never stopped, he’s like a machine!!!! Nothing was too much trouble for Anthony as he appeared to be running the show alone, yet still had time to check that everyone was happy. I did have a peaceful night sleep, whoever was making all the noise had either exhausted themselves & was sleeping it off, or had finally left the building. However, I could still hear the bump, which I can only assume was the lift or something. The bed was the best we’d ever slept in, & the pillows, well we’re ordering 4. Oh & the room was immaculate! It’s probably the only PI that I’ve stayed in with a clean carpet, honestly they’re usually quite stained. Breakfast was very nice, & we enjoyed it. Although the bread needed topping up though as there was only 2 slices, I took 1, so that left 1 for everyone else to fight over. Thanks to everyone for taking care of us.

Tha standards in this hotel are excellent .all staff friendly and welcoming and paid great attention to detail. The food was excellent,well presented and great service. Will certainly have no hesitation in using it again..excellent value for monefy,especially the meal deal

We had a lovely stay. Our room was very clean, including the bathroom. Our shower was nice and powerful. All the staff were friendly, hardworking and helpful. The venue itself is very close to the high street, local restaurants and bars. A perfect location for anyone travelling onward to their cruises. Public areas are clean and welcoming. Breakfast was good and the service impeccable. We were kindly able to leave our luggage upon check-out so we could explore before heading to the Mayflower Cruise Terminal. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you.
