      "A room with no towels ? Basic error"
      When we arrived a number of people were waiting till check in time at 3pm. We were first in line and given the furthest room away on the highest floor . The room stank of smoke so I went back to reception to get it changed. I didn’t want to look as if I was cutting in so I stood in line. Eventually I got served and was given another room. This time it was the furthest away in the ground floor. My wife took a shower before discovering there were no towels in the room. Back to reception again, this time going to the front as my wife was waiting , wet back in the room. I was given towels but no apology .

      The only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to the docks and airport. The rooms are ok. The car park - just a plain shambles, full of double parked vans, so half the spaces are unusable, other cars parked in the roadways making it hard to pass, and unused places near the EV charging points as these do not work. You cant park there though without being issued a pcn. The pcn's should be issued to those using 2 spaces or blocking the access routes.. Check in had no knowledge of my booking - even after supplying a reference number / confirmation. Breakfast is not a very good experience either - The tables - supposedly cleaned - have more tack to them than superglue. No cutlery. Condiment sets were empty. Sauces were empty. No coffee in the coffee machine. The food itself was ok I suppose - if you like Black Pudding biscuits and fried egg coasters. I'll only go there again if I have to for work - certainly not through choice.

      Had a little ‘hope you enjoy your stay note with some Jaffa cakes which was cute’ hotel is lovely, very clean. Breakfast really nice. Slept really well.

      Terrific rooms, lovely comfy beds, extortionate car parking charges and highly over priced food which is simply un appetising in looks and presentation
