Tired hotel and aircon burns electricity and pumps out heat into rooms, no cooling at all , staff were excellent and very welcoming . The building let things down

I have used this particular Premier Inn on many occasions in the past. Since our last visit there has been a bit of a makeover in the dining area, reception area and in the bedroom we occupied.. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom immaculately clean and everything up to a usual Premier Inn standard that I would expect. Breakfast as part of the meal deal was up up to the tasty standard. The croissant were good and the lady in the dining room was very pleasant and helpful. The evening meal was good quality but it took them an hour to serve it as they’ve forgotten the order! However, they did rectify this by supplying drinks free of charge. Overall still worth going and using because it is very convenient to the rail link and the airport.

While we didn’t remember to book a Premium room, the room we had was fine. It could have been better cleaned, things like dirty drinking glasses. The meal we had was excellent. We were very well served by Jason, who deserves a specific mention.

Probably won’t stay again and would not recommend. Left luggage in the secure luggage storage and was given a luggage tag. Went to collect my luggage some hours later, no where to be found. After quite some time and investigation it turned out the hotel had given my luggage to another guest, who had left the country with it (clearly the hotel did not check the luggage tag they had!). I was left without any of my possessions (clothes, toiletries, medication) for my stay. Not even an offer to refund my stay.
