    "Jason was so super helpful"
I’d just like to say as soon as we walked in Jason was immediately on hand to help us check in, sort out or car, book us into dinner and let us know about where we needed to go tomorrow to the port. He was so friendly and helpful we couldn’t ask for more.
    "Not value for money"
Not the best premier Inn I've stayed at , obviously had a service problem with the food , cause lots of items missing off the list for breakfast & dinner. Toilet didn't flush properly, I stayed there for 3 nights. Receptionist spoke like she was going through the script, no empathy. Only positive was the location
    "Not what I expected"
Stayed 1 night on the way to Portsmouth which was handy but I thought it was not to the usual Premier standard Checking in was a bit confusing as it was busy and only 1 person doing it.The main fault I had was that there was no 13 amp socket anywhere near the Bed and I need one for a CPAP Machine and have to say that this was the first time anywhere in the UK in any Hotel that there was none so any CPAP users of which there are many beware. There was also a strange smell in the room, not a bad or definitely not a good one but just strange. The food was OK and parking OK, drinks were a bit expensive but you can expect that down south. Disappointed after staying in quite a few Premiers.

**Avoid if need an accessible room ** Stayed here as needed a bed for the night before a cruise . Premier inn usually meet our needs but not in this case. Disabled room was booked, what a disappointment !! Room on ground floor with good access to restaurant and car park. Check in not the best, one person trying to look after loads of guests, lack of working machines causing an issue. No problem with food or bar, nice touch with water and ice pops available whilst you wait to check in as was very hot Room itself was awful. As soon as we opened the door the smell of smoke and stale air hit us. My husband has a number of health issues and breathing is one of them. Not a good start ! We then checked out the bathroom. Very long bath with some grab rails but completely unuseable for us. Not able to climb into bath or get out. We are used to wet rooms with a seat as he cannot stand for long. The door was a sliding door, very heavy and screeching and I could barely move so no privacy at all. We then discovered that the TV didn't work, no remote control. I got one of the duty managers to come to the room. He agreed it smelled of smoke and stale and that someone has smoked in there. They had used some sort of bomb to clear it but clearly hadn't worked. Agreed to my issues re bathroom but said nothing he could do. Hotel was completely full and couldn't move us so we had no choice but to stay there. And the remote was missing for the TV, sorry don't have a spare, we should have got one really was the response. So a very early night. I understand that the hotel was busy but this was pure negligence and very frustrating. Room clearly hadn't been checked before we arrived. They used to have a Good Night guarantee there, clearly didn't apply in this case . Friday nights are always the busiest and prices reflect this. Just don't bother !
"Meh, not up to usual Premier inn standards"
Don't know how they have got this so wrong! It seems Premier Inn since installing the check in kiosks have taken this as an opportunity to cut back on staff and it shows! Arrived to no one on reception .Four buzzer rings and 10 mins later and someone appeared. Got checked in and headed to room and was greated with a lingering musty smell and a stuffy room . Went down to the restaurant for food and it was chaotic ! Not enough space in the restaurant to accommodate the amount of guests. Asked could we sit at the bar and order some food and was told no. 3 staff working between the bar and restaurant floor. Got a table 45 mins later and was just handed menus and pointed a to a table at the back and told sit down there. 😂. Upholstery at the tables were ripped and sponge poking through on the seats. Food just ok. We have stayed in alot of Premier inns but our last 2 visits have been disappointing.
