Southampton Airport hotel

We stayed in the Southampton Airport premier inn overnight between travel from Scotland to a holiday on the Isle of Wight. The hotel is as you'd expect from this chain - clean and comfortable. And, as ever with Premier Inn, it is the people working there who elevate the hotel from functional to exceptional. All the staff who dealt with us were helpful and efficient, but we were delighted with the level.of service provided by Jason, who was working in the dining room. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he was a kind and courteous presence during our meal. Thank you, Jason

We always try to stay here on our travels, the location is extremely convenient and the service is usually very good. We were a little frustrated when we arrived 20 minutes before check in and we're told we'd have to pay £15 to check in because usually the staff at premier inns are a little more welcoming and reasonable but rules are rules I guess! We decided to leave and spent some time shopping instead. We returned for the evening and enjoyed a very nice meal in the restaurant - the meal deal is excellent value for money and the waiter who has served us many times before was really lovely. The room itself was very clean, very comfortable and perfect to start our holiday. Breakfast was hot and delicious the following morning. The £10.50 car park fee feels a little much but I guess lots of places do charge. We will absolutely stay again when next in the area

My wife and our two friends paid for one night’s stay at the Southampton Airport Premier Inn, including dinner in advance which we booked for 8.00 pm on the Friday night 11 September. When we arrived, we were kept waiting until 8.30 pm which was quite annoying after a long day’s travelling, but worse was to follow. It turned out that the menu was very limited as the kitchen had run out of key foods we wished to order; vis a vis the Mexican prawn starter was unavailable, in fact the kitchen had run out of prawns completely; neither was the gammon available nor was there any ice cream for the dessert course. It didn’t leave much on the menu that we wanted really. Considering we had paid for our meal in advance, this was extremely disappointing and, to be honest, we were all quite annoyed about it and very disappointed by our culinary experience. I/we wouldn't eat here again.

Jason was absolutely brilliant nothing was too much trouble. Great meal and a good start to our holiday
