Disgusting Attitude from Staff – Extremely Disappointing Experience The attitude of the restaurant staff was absolutely disgusting. On a Saturday afternoon, we were refused children's meals because staff claimed they did not have enough staff available, despite the pub being virtually empty. With two young children aged four and six, we had little choice but to go around the corner to purchase McDonald's Happy Meals for them. When we returned to the pub, where there was literally only our family and two other customers in a venue capable of accommodating around 150 people, the staff refused to allow the children to eat their meals inside, claiming there was a risk of cross-contamination. This argument was particularly ridiculous given that people were continuously walking in and out of the pub wearing muddy boots. The situation then escalated to the point where the staff effectively threw our young children out of the pub simply because they had food that had not been purchased there. We complained directly to the manager, but rather than resolving the situation with any understanding or common sense, the manager stood by the staff's decision and insisted that the children should eat outside or return to their hotel room. This was completely unacceptable. A Beefeater pub attached to a hotel should surely be capable of providing food for families on a Saturday afternoon, particularly when the venue is practically empty. If the restaurant cannot accommodate its guests, or refuses to allow young children to eat when it cannot provide them with food, then something is seriously wrong with its approach to customer service. The entire experience was stressful, embarrassing and deeply disappointing. The complete lack of common sense, hospitality and consideration for two young children was shocking. I would never stay here again and would strongly reconsider recommending this hotel to other families.

Good price for a nights stay. Room clean and confortable. Food okay, need to book time now for evening meal, now Beefeater closed.

We had one of the best experiences we’ve ever had at a Premier Inn. We often stay at Premier Inn hotels when we travel, but the rooms here were particularly impressive. They were spacious, comfortable, and very cosy. The best part of our stay was the kindness and understanding of the lady working as the manager/receptionist in the morning. We were going through a difficult situation, and she kindly allowed us to stay for an extra hour without charging us anything extra. That small gesture meant a lot to us and really showed how caring and helpful the staff are. Thank you so much for making our stay even more comfortable and stress-free. We would definitely stay here again!

I needed a room for one night in this area. Its a few minutes walk from a bus stop with regular buses to take you into the centre of Portsmouth. Check-in was easy and staff were friendly. Air Conditioning worked very well. Room was big and clean. Bathroom had a bath with a shower. Bed was very comfortable. TV and kettle both worked fine. Room was quiet. I paid for the Premier Inn breakfast which was served in the Toby Carvery next door and which was very good quality. Tea and coffee making in the room and you could get refills from the desk at reception. Key card access for security. Very simple Check Out. I did not drive there but there is a carpark and you are close to both the A3 and A27 so should be easy to find.

Excellent stay for one night, rooms are nice and clean. wish it has a lift for the fist floor guests with heavy baggage. Overall 10/10 for a budget hotel. Very good value.
