"Request a room on the 1st floor if your ears function"
I’m not one to usually write reviews, but if this advice saves an individual or family from loosing sleep then it’s worth it! I’m not sure if this is a guest issue or hotel issue, all I can say is that we’ve stayed in many premier inns and never experienced noise like it! We were in room 12 on the ground floor - and we were either unfortunate enough to have extremely large and active individuals above us or it’s a known hotel issue with the flooring on floor 1/ceiling on floor 2. Absolute expect to hear the standard muffled sound of footsteps above, however this was loud stomping, with high pitched creaking walking up and down to he length of the room repeatedly until gone 11pm. It became so comical that I started recording how loud and frequent it was, it then started again at 2.30am! We were set to get up at 5am to catch a ferry so this counteracted the idea of staying closer to get a longer sleep. So advice would be to request a room on the 1st floor, be the one stomping around rather than the ones trying to sleep listening to it. Especially if you happen to have individuals trying to get their steps in within their hotel room!

"Great value for money"
Great value for money, clean and tidy, with helpful and friendly staff. There isa Premier Inn, literally across the road, but the food was poor. Adjoining North Harbour is a Beefeater, where we had breakfast. It wasan excellent breakfast and we wish that we had gone the in the evening, as you could not fault it.

"Pleasant as usual"
This is our 6th stay and as ever it is unfailingly friendly and a pleasant stay, tinged with sadness this time as the Beefeater is closing so the lovely barmaid who greets us and remembers us and the young woman who greets us and seats us at breakfast are losing their jobs and we are losing them !
Madness as this place is always busy!

"Uncomfortable bed"
Bed unconfortable. After both of us spending a restless night waking up feeling totally shattered before catching ferry. Bed was very high off ground and my husbamds.legs were dangling off bed and he is 6'2!. The base was a solid base with.a bed or.something underneath. Customer service gave an excuse of we didn't complain in
the middle of the night so our complaint was invalid!!

"claire the fab receptionist."
I stayed at the Portsmouth North Harbour hotel on my way to Spain via Brittany ferries. From the off i knew i had chosen well. The receptionist on duty went above and beyond my expectations to make me feel welcome and valued. I traveled by motorbike from the Chester area, and as most bikers are i am very aware of security against theft. Claire, the receptionist moves her own personal car in order for me to park my bike in an area right outside the reception. Selfless attitudes like this are seldom encountered these days and whenever i am in need of a hotel, Premier inn will forever be my go to choice. Thank you so much Claire.
