Portsmouth (Havant) hotel

Although the hotel is currently in the process of changing the staff were extremely helpful and professional. Very pleased with the service we received. Breakfast not the best but the evening meals were more than acceptable

We had booked Premier Inn at Bedhampton during the Goodwood weekend. This turned out to be the best decision, just half hour away to the FOS and a very convenient place for a trip down to Gunwharf and Harbour Cruise if you are there with family to do a little more than just cars! The hotel is super comfy with great size rooms, air-conditioning which is a big bonus in the scorching summer these days. It has decent F&B, great service and ample parking available. Overall one cannot go wring with this Premier Inn.

We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. Hotel itself was clean and rooms very quiet despite the location being next to major A road. 15 minute walk to nearest train station. Other than that nothing in neighbourhood (no pubs/restaurants) The rusty cutter on site is what lets this hotel down. We arrived for breakfast and 8.45 and was told by very grumpy waitress that we’d have a 30 minute wait for food (not a premier inn buffet breakfast) as they were “very busy” …there were 6 couples in…. We agreed and had drinks, cereal etc while we waited. During this time the solo waitress was overheard loudly telling another table that their lengthy wait was due to ‘everyone coming down for breakfast at the same time and poor Liam was on his own in the kitchen’ It turns out our wait for food would be infact 55 minutes. Areas of restaurant boarded off… mops and buckets next to coffee machine… just looked grubby and very run down. Not good enough for the price.

Dirty sheets! Can’t believe staff put them on the bed when stains clearly visible.

Very helpful flexible staff and comfy hotel. The snr mgt and Directors in Premier Inns should take note. The older Premier Inns are far better than the new ones. Stronger cold air con that actually makes the rooms cool, deep baths and windows that open for fresh air. Free parking also with good restaurant next door.
