"Good rooms and beds. But local eateries scarce"
Good rooms but poor food. Asked if the fish and chips were fresh cooked, no, from the freezer. No fryer involved. How can you have fish n chips without a fryer. Settled for a pizza… was told it was prepared from scratch.. will wait and see Sadly in this area very few options to eat. Hence one star.
"Thievery! £230 for an on site bar and restaurant that's not open until 1700h!"
Bar and restaurant do not open until 1700h! for £230 stay id except a red carpet to the door and food and drink available all day! absolute scandal and thievery! Premier inn was always a step above a Travelodge i consider it beneath now. Personally i wont ever stay in a Premier in again unless it was the deal of the century and suited! farewell Premier Inn!
    "Great place to stay"
The Manager Dom on reception helpful on arrival and check in. The room was perfect accessible room for my husband they even placed an extra bath mat for my husband so he didnt slip. The room was clean and tidy. The bed very comfortable and the air was fantastic. Even though near A27 the noise not bad. The hospitality tray was wonderful choice. The bathroom towels sufficient. We also used the restaurant Rusty Cutter for breakfast and dinner. The menu was ok not too many vegetarian options. The Gourmet burger was great though. We all enjoyed our meals. The breakfast choice the next day excellent choice on menu. If you want veggie sausage or bacon these are cooked to order. All in all the stay was fantastic and the location was ideal for Emsworth and Hayling Island to visit my mums grave. Absolutely great place to stay.
"Friendly staff shame about the rest!"
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is a little tired and could do with updating. The Rusty cutter restaurant need to be totally renovated; the décor is really shabby with split seats and drab decoration. There doesn’t seem to be enough staff in the restaurant but they do a reasonable job of looking after the few customers that were in there. The food wasn’t the best, the fish was overcooked and the chicken salad didn’t contain a great deal of chicken. We only eat in there one night, after seeing the state of the extraction system above the grill which was covered in grease and dirt.
    "Need more staff .."
Bed was good, TV a bit dated but OK. Hotel was quiet with only a little road noise. The biggest problem was the restaurant, woefully understaffed with 1 chef , 1 waitress.. Poor things were run ragged and it impacted the service not surprisingly. If you are going to offer a service, staff it properly. Premier inns are generally V good value for money , just a shame they fell a bit short on the food and service this time. Beds are always good and that's the most important thing but need to have adequate staff to run the service properly
