Portsmouth (Havant) hotel

We only stayed here because it was close to family whilst visiting. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room stank of chemicals which we later concluded was due to a newly fitted carpet. As an asthma sufferer we had to leave the window open for the duration of our stay. The room was spacious and newly decorated. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom taps were tatty with the chrome plating missing in patches so clearly had not been refurbished. I later learned from my cousin that the rooms had been refurbished in the last year having previously been awful. The cooked breakfast was mass produced and not great quality. No fresh fruit option, just pre-frozen mixed berries but there was plenty of choice for bread and pastries. Outside, plenty of safe parking which was free. It was easy to find just off the major road network. Would we stay again, probably no. A bit disappointing but maybe the refurbishment is not yet fully completed.

We visited the restaurant attached to the Portsmouth Havant premier inn both nights of our stay. The two ladies running the restaurant can only be described as awesome. Wonderful warm welcome, happy to assist, chatty in the right amount. Grace and Jo working together make a fantastic team and clearly enjoy their jobs. They really go the extra mile to make your visit pleasurable Food was good too. Would definitely eat here again

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, both at reception and during breakfast. Our bedroom was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The hotel is also in a very convenient location. Breakfast was excellent, with a great choice of food. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at this Premier Inn on a Saturday night in the school summer holidays and were pleasantly surprised. Our room was more modern than other Premier Inns we've stayed in and crucially had air con given the intense heat we've had all summer. We were staying at the back of the hotel and heard no noise whatsoever although there was a louder hum from the nearby A road towards the front of the property. Staff were very pleasant and helpful - the one downside was the speed of the service at the Rusty Cutter restaurant (formerly a Beefeater) on the Saturday evening where there was seemingly one person doing front of house for the whole place. We'd come back if in the area and needed a cheap(ish) stay though.
