"Disappointing"
The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful at all times. Emma, Keira and the rest of the team did a great job of trying to compensate for the run down and depressing building and the poor facilities. There is no bar or lounge, apparently still waiting on planning permission for renovation. This could take a long time as it is a listed building. The advertised buffet is not available, although the individually cooked breakfasts were of a high standard. The carpets need replacing and everywhere needs a coat of paint. However the bed was extremely comfortable and the accessible room met all of our requirements. If those Premier Inn is to remain in business whilst awaiting planning permission then the room costs should be drastically reduced in order to attract returning costumers.
"Friendly and ideal place to stay"
We really enjoyed our stay. As soon as we arrived the receptionist was so helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Our room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Breakfast was enjoyable and Matthew who served us was very friendly and very attentive. Made breakfast even more enjoyable, so thank you.
"Lovely staff, comfortable room in a lovely location for easy access to the New Forest and it's many amenities."
We have not stayed at this Premier Inn before. On arrival we had a warm welcome.from Dan at the reception, who also lent us an iron and board to spruce up our clothes. He was very helpful with local information about amenities etc. The room was as expected, clean, presentable and all in order. The air conditioning was amazing, keeping the room at a constant 19 on the hotest weekend of the year. The only slight disappointment, resulting in 4, rather than 5 stars, was the restaurant menu, it is quite limited. There were a couple of gluten free items, which were very nice, so it wasn't the end of the world. The staff were all very helpful and at dinner Zoe was very polite and ensured fast and high quality service. With just the hotel.guests using the restaurant now, you don't wait long. The reception staff also let us know it was acceptable to order a take out to get delivered and we could even borrow cutlery and plates from the restaurant if we needed. Breakfast with Matthew was again, good service, polite, helpful and tasty. It was table service, so Matt took our orders and left us to have continental if we wanted. GF, Vegan and Veggie option are available. Matt had not long started working at the Premier Inn, but like all of the staff, he is kind, friendly, efficient, chatty, but not intrusive. Kira on reception was also very helpful with local information or just for a passing catch up, remembering why we were at the hotel and asking after our day and how our event had gone. All such lovely staff, which will guarantee a return stay when we are back in the area again.
"Trip away with a friend"
Was such a quaint and cute hotel. Ran by some lovely employees. Everything was as it should be, staff were more than helpful! Kiera was amazing, she helped me with my bags, sorting out meal deals and even leaving me a sweet note and biscuits! She is a keeper! The young man on Housekeeping the next morning was very attentive, he said he was quite new but seemed very helpful! The gentleman on breakfast was a gem I think his name was Ollie, running round as he was the only member of staff on that morning, but he great! The only thing I would change is your evening menu, lacks many food groups…
"Disappointing"
Great staff but hotel was tired & shabby & room was gloomy, dated & overlooked the bin store - not how it was portrayed in the pictures. Also to dub it 'Premier Inn Lymington' was stretching it a bit - it was a 12 minute drive to the centre! The Premier Inn in Farnham is lovely - this one was not!
