Lymington (New Forest, Hordle) hotel

We stayed here overnight before catching the ferry from Lymington to the Isle of Wight for a short break. It was only a 15 min drive to the ferry terminal so very well located. The building doesn't look much from the outside but it had Premier Plus rooms and they are exactly as you would expect them to be. It's why we continue to stay at Premier Inns - you know exactly what you are going to get. Our only issue was the the aircon in our room didn't work. We didn't think we would need it so we didn't test it when we arrived but when we tried to turn it on in the middle of night it didn't work. By then it was too late to do anything about it. The breakfast was amazing. Cooked to order and much better than the 4* hotel we stayed at on the Isle of Wight.

I had read reviews that the outside of the hotel was tatty but I side was ok. As we arrived, I thought we'd got the wrong place as it looked like a derelict building! So tatty from the front and window frames had paint peeling off. The girl on reception wasn't very welcoming at all. The room smelt musty and the bathroom smelt of stale urine! The only good thing about the room was the bed as it was very comfy. The shower was dribbly. Breakfast was awful. The continental breakfast especially poor...hardly any pastries out, fermented fruit salad. We nearly cancelled on the last morning. The advert ' you know what you're getting with a premier Inn ' is a bit of a joke really!!! We've stayed at many, and this was by far the worst!

We stayed here ready to catch an early ferry, therefore checked that breakfast was 6.30am. However on arriving at 6.27 it wasn't really ready. No serving spoons for cereals, yoghurt, fruit. No fresh fruit ( bananas, apples, oranges). No paper napkins. No croissants or pain au chocolat. No tongs for bread or crumpets. When we left at 6.50 am none of the above had arrived ! Our room was clean and we had the usual premier plus extras but there was growing mould in our bathroom and our bed squeaked every time we moved. The bar was grim, as were the toilets and the outside of the building looked derelict. The gentleman on reception was super, really helpful but I feel sorry for him working in such a depressing place

We recently stayed at Premier Inn Lymington (New Forest, Hordle) and had a really enjoyable experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we’ve come to expect from Premier Inn. The room was well maintained, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and it was a great base for exploring the New Forest and nearby attractions. The highlight of our stay was the fantastic service from Oli. He was genuinely welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. His positive attitude and excellent customer service really stood out and made our stay feel extra special. He’s a real credit to the hotel and deserves recognition for the great job he does. The only areas that could be improved were the bar and the exterior of the hotel. It was a little disappointing that there were no draught beers available during our stay, and the outside of the building looks a little tired and could do with some refurbishment to better reflect the quality of the hotel inside. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return. Thank you to the whole team, especially Oli, for making our visit so enjoyable.

Second worst premier inn ever stayed in. Room was ok but bathroom in need of upgrade as toilet difficult to flush and taps on bath very noisy. Decor all round hotel very shabby. Restraunt and food very poor and limited. Evening meal on 03/07 awful. Barmaid had no idea how to work deals out on the till. Breakfast on 04/07 dreadful and a waste of money. Evening food very good. Emma on duty very helpful and pleasant to talk to. Booked in for two nights but only stayed for one Avoid until refurbished
